It's waterproof to an accident like situation. Possibly dropping it in the tub, toilet or possibly getting caught in a rain storm. These are all situations that the phone is not getting exposed to a high or long period of water. As for the phone its exceptional!!!! Great battery life, great camera, amazing screen size and contrast. So please ignore the comment from techkid who basically has no idea about the actual phones full functional ability. They are the people who believe a bullet proof vest will stop a bullet every time. No it just increases your life if an accident will occur

900H is fr south East Asia, all I ad for are European ad used there on contract, with insurance, they send us back ad we have to buy a second hand set, used to satisfy our ego. Speed lags or slow is everywhere, just what we get, looks bad ad what others gets looks good.
We must either forget or live with what we are getting, by 4th qtr it will sell by buy one get one free. If you still want what others get fr their region, then go fr them, without warranty.

Techkid88, 12 Aug 2014please read this if you are sincerely considering buying th... moreWell IP67 is water resistant up to 1 metre - mine works perfect underwater, I have taken numerous under-water shots on holiday in the pool, and was caught in a heavy rain shower recently, S5 was soaked through but still worked fine (and still does!) so you must have not have the charging port cover or battery door quite on right.

please read this if you are sincerely considering buying the samsung galaxy s5: the phone in itself is a great product; the camera is amazing, the display is high quality, and s health is a great app for active cellphone users. the issue i have with the phone, and with samsung itself, is the false advertising that is vehemently paraded along samsung's media sites. this phone is not water-resistant, if even a tiny bit of water gets into the phone, it will not work. as a person who bought the phone due to it being advertised as a veritable submarine, i was quite displeased when i contacted samsung to discussed getting my phone repaired, for i went to the pool and afterwards, my phone stopped working. when speaking to several customer service representatives, i was informed that water-damage was not covered under their warranty and that the device was not designed to take on water internally. why is water-damage not covered for a phone that is heavily advertised as offering protection against water damage not covered by their warranty. if the phone is resistant to water-damage, and gets water damage doesn't that mean the device, and therefore every galaxy s5, is defective? should samsung really be advertising the devices water-resistant nature if it is not the case at all? do not buy this phone if you think you will be able to use it in the pool, ocean, bath, etc. you will be surely disappointed and samsung will drag their feet and take their sweet time in trying to repair your device. it has been two weeks since i contacted them about my phone and they still have not even started their inspection but they can assure me that the phone was not intended to take on water. needless to say i will not be buying another samsung device again(tv, phone, tablet--i have all three) not standing by your marketing is a deal breaker for me.

That is why Samsung flagship phones have almost identical audio quality as Iphones. They only differ on the loudness of the output, because Samsung takes into consideration that too loud sound output could damage your hearing.

Very underrated! It has better specs than HTC ONE M8! Ranks second but mine ranks first! than black earpice looks beggarish but the back looks amazin! Battery bag pack in all look top-notch!

... moreEven Z2 has higher battery capacity it will consume more power than S5.
LCD screen is more power hungry than AMOLED adding the bigger screen size of Z2.
So it is not true that Z2 has more battery backup.

... moreActually you should also take in consideration the size and type of screen the battery is supplying.
In this case it would be the same consumption even Z2 has higher battery capacity.

after carefully reading all the comments and posts about both the iphone 5s and the Samsung S5 i feel having been an "iphoner?" i'm going to go for the samsung as i feel it is a much more advanced phone and has alot more to offer than the iPhone. please comment if you know/think different...?
