Tcool, 07 May 2014What is the difference between air view and quick glance?Airview is when you let your finger over your screen without touching it and you get previews of different things : a zoom on a thumbnail, detailed SMS from list view, image preview on the video player seeking bar, etc...
Quick glance is just hovering your hand over the phone/sensors, screen off, to display essential infos like time, missed events, number of messages for about 4 seconds with a nice fadings effects. Basically, it just replaces the need to push home/power to check if you didn't miss anything or even the time.

Samsung Galaxy S5. Better sunlight legibility
is the biggest contributor for the win, but details like
more surface area, perfect contrast and colors, the
sensitivity start to pile up quick.
The HTC One (M8) certainly has a great display, let
down in this head to head comparison mostly by its
relatively higher reflectivity.
display s5 takes it

The HTC One (M8) is undeniably the better-looking
phone (which might be void if you use a case) and the
feel of real metal tops the feel of fake leather any
day. The front-facing stereo speakers are also great,
but the move to on-screen buttons didn't do much to
reduce the height, though it does eat into usable
screen space.
The Galaxy S5 is more practical though with the IP67
rating and user-accessible battery. It's more compact
and lighter too. The faux leather is also much better
than the glossy plastic of last year, even if it won't
win over metal fans.
it's a tie for me
