Anonymous, 09 Mar 2014I'd pay extra for a inbuilt radio as long as it was a reaso... moreThe talk of built in radio is obviously made by ignorant people working in their own country where they can understand the broadcast in local language. How about people working in foreign lands where they can't understand the FM songs broadcast in local language?

Why would I pay extra money for the built-in radio if I can't use it?

AnonD-239037, 09 Mar 2014If you have to pay more for radio i will take the one witho... moreIf two separate S5's, one with video player and one without video player, which one will you take? The point is, we need FM radio, and it is better to have a phone with built in FM radio than buy a separate device for it. We need FM radio just as you need the other features of the phone like video player, finger print, etc. Plus, I wont mind data but carriers add freaking fair usage policy and cap data to ridiculously low amount per month. Here, our data is capped to 3gb per month, now the internet radio will eat more to this very limited bandwidth. They are making everything online but not working on network infrastructures and unlimited bandwidth.

Does anyone experience on their S4 when the chrome paint of the frame is peeling off. This is my biggest turn off with S5 right now as I think this problem is still not fixed. I want a phone that will still look great after a year of using.

AnonD-77892, 10 Mar 2014I charged it twice when I connect it to my home wifi. but o... moreBoy,now I understand why you say Samsung has battery issues. A Tab3 and S2 have bad battery optimization. Even I can admit my Note 8 has battery inefficiency, and so did my Note 1.

But not Notes 2 and 3. Note 2 even had longer battery than the 3. Up to 16 to 18 hours with over 7 hours of screen time, and still downloading about 1GB worth of torrents, internet radio on 3G.

No way ALL Samsung have bad battery issues.

I use my 5c for playing games. and my son using it right now.

                        "Terrible design"?
                        "Terrible battery"?

And then say "overall good"? Man, you are one confused user. Make up your mind. You must be in Samsung pages for a reason. That's your subconscious saying, "I want to be free from my iPhone 5c and get myself a good Samsung device."

We don't see your iPhone 5c performing any longer on one charge as well.

The lack of radio, still a mono speaker and the addition of silly stuff which I'm never going to use (heart rate sensor- I mean, what is the use?) means that I won't be getting a S5 for a replacement to my S3 this year. It's just a real lack of innovation. The only thing I'd be slightly interested is the camera upgrade, but this phone is just nothing special in my view. Disappointing but at least it's helped me make up my mind and I can explore other brands this year.

                            I have used S2 Note S3 S4 Note3 (using now)
But felt only bigger screen use is OK. Else all other functions like Face Unlock.. Air Gesture... Air View.... Barometer.... Temperature... Reading Mode... Multi Windows.....Smart scroll.. Pause and stay... And now in S5 finger scanner.. It's all unnecessary imposed functions in device..... I never had any necessity of using all those functions since I am using this galaxy phones..... Samsung is trying to bring a whole Airlines cockpit in a mobile phone..... My personal suggestions to Samsung is don't think we are stupid if we buying your phone for these type of above functions and features but all because of Android software friendly use and Okay screen sizes.... And fast operation....... That's all we buy your device for...... Not for crowded sensors

In my eyes the Galaxy S5 is a good looking phone. The backside is not a fingerprint-magnet for example - but personally I gonna buy a TPU-case anyway. So who cares? I like the unique combination of water/dust proof with replaceable battery, with all the advantages the latter option gives you. I also like all the small changes like faster camera start-times, fingerprint-lock, menu-key changed to Recent apps (finally) and best of all: the new "gear fit" wristwatch-option. Overall its just seems to be the most promising flagship-phone out there.

AnonD-77892, 09 Mar 2014I mean is to run smoothly as Z2.LOL. So now anything Samsung is bad, in your universe. You're even "using" Sony to just counter your point across. Well, you can't say that with what you actually use - an iPhone 5c, a mid-ranged phone according to you:

Tcool, 09 Mar 2014Come on, you said you are "travelling the world" ... moretcool your being presumptions about my radio listening habits. Since leaving Australia I've been in the middle east, Europe, Africa, Europe again, every country in Central America, And I go to south America Tuesday and likely to stay there the next year or so before moving on to the US and Canada. I did study Spanish for 3 weeks in Guatemala but there are many countries on my list where English is spoken but music is a international language you dont aways need to understand the words to enjoy it. I travel as light as possible I don't want extra devices and chargers and I ran mainframe computers for IBM for 12 years so I'm not tech clueless, I use my S2 for more than just radio ; )
metal case? Ok you've made a fair point Id cover it but I value robustness and suspect a metal case would resist torsional effects better than plastic and provide longevity and I'd be happy to live with a small weight increase for that.

Because in my country we have a 3g coverage everywhere and in big cities we have 4G and data is not for free but affordable . But you can always listen data via website's your data consumation should not be too high for just listening (streaming) it's not like video streaming . There will always be solution just be independant dont wait until samsung put's a radio cuz you wil wait for ever i think :)

Why would you buy a 700 dollar phone that's expansive ! so if you can buy a 700 dollar phone i just cannot see how you cannot afford Data , + spotify can be used now or just download your own playlist at home and start your own radio ... no offense but it's 2014.
