What a crap.I prefer the Sony Z2 to this crap.Thats superior to it in every aspect.Z2 is the boss of this phone.

A disappointment from Samsung with the S5.We thought Samsung would bring a innovation in terms of Technology yet all they did is to bring what we have seen from other manufacturers (apple, sony).At first I thought Samsung would surprise their customers with a innovation not seen from other manufacturers. But when I saw it being released. I felt disappointed by Samsung and not willing to shift either I stick with my Note2. Let's see how it will compete.

The shameless google has imposed restrictions on SD card usage in android 4.4 onwards. Did anyone know about this?. Search google with the keywords 'microsd card access problem in android 4.4'. Then you will come to know.
The restrictions (when the memory card is used in android 4.4 (or later) based mobiles* are :
> Cannot copy or move files and folders from internal memory to SD card.
> Cannot receive files to memory card (via WiFi or bluetooth)
> Can only download files (not via torrent softwares) to memory card.
> Cannot create a folder or sub folder in the SD card.
> Cannot copy or move files within the SD card.
> We can only read and format the SD card and set the storage for camera pictures and videos to SD card (not to specific folders, just in common).
> Usage of all file managers is restricted.
* means - not via card reader.

They said last year,they will use 64 bit processor? They not do that actually?

After the waiting for s5 ,Samsung came out with abiger s4 and some heart beat mesurment app. Wow it might be the donky year in Asia.

I have zero interest in biometric measurements or making them available to the the highest bidder, whether corporative or governmental, I have zero interest for 64587 cores which process something which I don't know about behind my back or something which I don't need. I have zero interest for OS larger than a desktop OS (for some reason) carried in my pocket, which always sucks up at least half of memory (for some reason) no matter how much RAM there is.
I don't need a device which thinks for me or tracks and monitors me. I have a brain and character for that. I don't need 900 PPI screens, new OLEDs are already good enough, processing lower is already sufficient, fancy gimmicks and games are for kids and teenagers. I don't care about processing test scores once the device is free of annoying lag and newest ones are. I don't care whose mobile device is better, I exited puberty a while back and I don't need a mobile smart device to feel better about myself.
I want a thinner and lighter mobile device, around 6 mm and 100 grams which won't crack if it falls down or scratch easily, a device whose OS is not becoming new windows from desktop computers, device which is a practical tool and not a rattle or a sheep herder and a device which doesn't need pampering of any sort, especially a power outlet every freaking evening. Period.

Will stick with my note 3 nothing much to upgrade over S5 too much of unnecessary sensors even in note 3 I don't use air gesture air view and nfc or reading mode.. Smart stay, scroll, pause, multi Windows, s beam, group play, I don't use all this... I just got note 3 because of big screen and faster performance...... Not because of all these useless features for me

definitely think that the s5 is moving more towards the style of iphones in the fact they are encorporating metal in to the handset, however i do believe the galaxy range will get bigger and better.

Tcool, 26 Feb 2014Useless radio wouldn't work without the messy headset wires.Radio needs the antenna and wired headset serves as one. Look on your cars roof, you will find an antenna too. FM works on much lower frequency then mobile phones do, and therefore requires a longer antenna. You don't have to use it if you don't want to, but it's still nice to have.

Does anyone noticed that the model name is written like SM-G900 instead of GT-I9600 Like it should. I think that Samsung keeps a surprise for us later in summer may be.
