Do not "upgrade" to Lollipop, ie Android 5.0 . It drains the battery almost twice as fast on S5 compared to Kitkat, and you get nothing really worthwhile by upgrading.

i bought the samsung galaxy s5 in 2014...i suffer from its flickering problem...the display goes on blinking continously at low brightness...
some times when i press the lock button,the display goes on black...i search on google for solution but soltions does not work...it still flicker

Why samsung galaxy s5 sm G900f not updating from device. Its ask about samsung kies to pc. Is there no ota update for it????? The device still running with kitkat.... plz tell me why its not updating from setting/ about device

hallo guys...i have a galaxy s5 sm g900f on android 5.0.1 rooted..i want to upgrade it to android 6.0 using ODIN but when i flash the files,it doesnt turn on.....i have so far tried 2 files one from Sirilanka and another from UAE and it flashes very well and shows installing apps and then shows samsung logo while turning on AND DOESNT GO PAST THE SAMSUNG LOGO....when i go to download mode,it shows that its already running android 6.0 but i donno why it doesnt start up....i have tried wiping dalvick cache and hard reseting it before flashing the firmware but still it doesnt turn on after flashing the firmware file using ODIN.......PLEASE HELP ME. ashpounds44@gmail.com

There's something I need to ask.I just bought S5 2weeks ago.But it have already problem like the fingerprint scaner,Sometimes it's not working.I need to restart my phone in order to use the fingerprint again,Another 1 is the back cover of my S5.It looks like it's not fitted properly.Is that normal?.I hope someone will reply.

There's something I need to ask.I just bought S5 2weeks ago.Sometimes the fingerprint scaner is not working.I need to restart it to work again.It always happen.And it's back cover doesn't look fitted properly,unlike my S3.Is that normal?.

note:install samsung usb drivers first to make your phone odin detectable and after flashing your device will be unrooted.
i recommend you to do these things carefully and download proper firmware according to your country and model no.

for latest chipset or technology go with motog4
j7 2016 is also a good choice but it lacks in display because it has low ppi display as compare to s5 and moto g4
moto g4 401ppi
galaxy s5 432 ppi
galaxy j7 264 ppi
more ppi means more clear and sharp display
and i will recommend you to go with galaxy s5 because it has lots of features nfc,water resistant,dlna,mhl,usb 3.0,hdmi tv out,ir blaster,fingerprint,heart rate sensor,gorrila glass 3,latest android marshmallow may be 7.0 in future,super amoled display,premium ui(multi window,smart stay,motion,airview,snote(u can type with stylus,pencil),great camera etc
note:moto g4 has better camera than s5 but still s5 is beast

there are two ways to update your galaxy s5:
1)flash ur stock frimware via odin and make device stock default,by doing this your phone will be unrooted and you will receive updates
2)flash latest stock firmware i.e android 6.0.everything is same as 1st method but here your phones will be up to date so u dont need to download any updates.
