Teri, 05 Mar 2015I was reluctant to change from the iPhone to the Samsung...... moreI agree this phone does all kinds of things on it's own. It will answer when trying to take it out of my pocket. The text messages are not in order because it doesn't work on min and seconds. It uses up all my data where I had no issues with my Iphone

I like the design of this phone more than the regular galaxy s5... unfortunately they dont sell this variant in india :(

My phone just completely quit ci tried putting it on the charger but it still isn't working and I had like 40% left

i seen just cracked screens and splashing water on it and dies,GO FOR SAMSUNG GALAXY XCOVER SERIES,i have first xcover for 1.5 months,and i throw it on grass frome 6 meters,water submerged 30s-5m many times,dropped out of a bike,broke another phone with that,and just some scratches,and work like new

Teri, 05 Mar 2015I was reluctant to change from the iPhone to the Samsung...... moreHi Teri, being Samsung user for years, I live with stock setup for a first couple of month of purchase only. After that I always install faster and better firmware (like Cyanogenmode for example), root the phone and remove the bloatware installed by provider, which takes up space, battery life and slows down the phone.
The instructions are very clear and not too hard to follow. Youtube has plenty of step by step videos. All resources are available from XDA Developers forum.

I was reluctant to change from the iPhone to the Samsung...resisted for over 2 years. Finally my iPhone 4S was getting too slow, Apple wasn't offering any good deals, and I needed a fast, reliable phone for work (medic) and a fun, sexy phone for play. Best Buy had the S5 and the S5 Active for a buck on the Black Friday sale, so we upgraded..him to the S5, me to the S5 Active. He's had no issues with his S5. My S5 Active is a different story...At first it was awesome! Gradually it got slower and slower, texts taking forever to write and send, phone opens on its own in my pocket while locked or even just lying on the table locked, the phone will call 911 and my contacts on its own when locked, with me unable to stop it in the process. Numerous other issues including the home button taking me to Google rather than the home screen, the lag on the phone, and my typed and/or spoken texts changed (yes I know how to use the text suggestions). I've read thru the comments here and see I'm not the only one with said issues. Has anyone figured out any solutions? Snarky troll answers and suggestions on trashing the phone aside, I'd like to hear genuine answers from you guys.

Just got the phone a couple weeks ago so far I like it but I also had a junk one before .there r a few things I don't like already tho.the cover to my battery is thin I feel like it's gonna break when I take it off and I barley dropped it and the battery cover pops off.for the first few days the home button REALLY bothered me if I hit home it went to Google and I was not holding the button to long I barley touch it no matter what I did it took me to google.i don't like the power button being on the side right where my finger is and being n my pocket it pushes buttons like crazy...I guess we'll see n a couple months if I find anything else I don't like.

was looking forward to the greatest phone yet. Read all the great promises from Samsung! The charging cover came of in the second month! The phone has serious issues! dials numbers while sitting.opens apps by itself. opens hundreds of emails that were previously read,

Its alright, i loved it until the texting functions started to act up. I sometimes have to take out the battery and wait five minutes, put it back and start up the phone for a message to send. Very disappointed

My home button is stuck or something. I've had it for 5 months now and it's just stuck. Never dropped or anything. Definitely will be taking it back.

Anonymous, 14 Jan 2015I've dropped this phone from about five feet onto concrete ... moreGreat phone love it for sure dropped it in snow water down a flight of 10 ceramic stairs still mint condition just dropped it this morning maybe 1 foot of the ground bam screen is totally shattered.

Overall happy. But I can agree with some of the complaints. Slippery- got an otter box. The main issue is my charger cover broke off.. when? No idea.. it was just gone. So hopefully I don't drop in the water. (Knock on wood)
Gotten used to the size. Some issues with performance with the last update. I do a ton of email and I'm a FB junkie so it's ideal. Keeping my iPhone on standby in case of future issues.
