Hi guys , (sorry for my bad english) please someone can help me ? I have this device g900fd duos since 6 months at the beggining it was perfect under kitkat , after updating to lollipop via ota (algerian firmware) there's a lot of problems the battery drain fast and there's a lag on the lockscreen and homescreen transition effect and sometimes it crash and the device rzstart ...... please tell me if there's a stable firmware lollipop of anther country without lag ans crash ..... thanks to every one .

Samsung released the patch update with security vulnerability, stability improvement, battery optimization with smart manager for galaxy s5 Duos G900FD with same android build 5.0 baseband g900fdxxu1boe2 and build g900fdxxu1boj1
now battery drain issue is solved and phone runs smoothly.

Today i got ota update as patch for security vulnerability worth 404 MB for my Samsung galaxy s5 G900FD UAE version.

Hi All,
i'm using s5 duos uae model from past 6 months. i to do agree that it supports airtel 4g in india. but only indication will be 4g speed remains 3g. s5 doesn't support band 2300 which supports airtel. so don't believe that you're on 4g when it indicate 4g. try speed test on 3g as well on 4g mode. the speed will be same.

From the menu there is a "firmware browser" that linke you to latest official firmware that are available on "sammobile.com"
I found this app very helpful.

As per my S5 (Ver5.0) you cannot use 3G/4G on both SIMs. You cannot have 4G on one and 3G on the other or 3G on both. If one is using 3G/4G the other will be switched to 2G

When will people learn? The two sims can't be used at the same time and you can't use both sims on same frequency ....EG: One has to be on 3G and the other on 4G Its impossible to use both on LTE or 4G Go into phone settings and change sim 2 to use different frequency. If you set it up right then it will work perfectly.

I'm not sure if this is the cause but you need to take into account that depending on your mobile operator, call waiting and more importantly call forwarding are usually enabled only for a subscription SIM and not for pre-pay SIM. I have it with Dual SIM always ON on a subscription SIM and pre-pay SIM, and the forwarding doesn't work for the pre-pay SIM

Either call forwarding or call waiting for Sim 1 always fail. When waiting is turned on, forwarding fails and vice versa.

Guys, Any problem with the battery of your S5 Duos Lollipop OS? cuz mine is very fast draining even just few minutes browsing in the net. only last week I bought the unit. is it normal? pls help.

hi im currently using sim1 for data access and sim2 for calls/sms however when my mobile data is on im unable to make/receive calls or sms.
I have also not enabled the DUAL SIM Mode.
I have been reading the previous comments and this problem is do exist in S5 duos.
