Samsung is used to producing big sized phones and some of us that are not big phone fans don't like that. If they plan to release Samsung Mini Phones, they should be mini phones indeed. A 4inch size phone is idea size for Samsung S5 mini. I think 4.5inch is still on the big side for a mini phone. Please make it 4inch for people like us who are more comfortable with small phones.

      If it has a small frame for the those inches and a water resistance as s5 does, this will be the perfect phone for me. I dont like big phones...

        it will be very nice if the phone don't exceed 5.1" in its lenth while the display remains 4.5".

          Looks like as last a successor to S2, albeit probably bigger :-) By that I mean it's not worse in any spec, except lacking mhl and usb-otg.

            Samsung Galaxy Mini S5 should contain 801 Snapdragon chip, which will be really perfect, with a pazavendësueshëm question, because when Sony Xperia Z1 went Compact, Samsung promise that I will bring to the market also with SG S5 mini Qualcomm's latest chip, so I believe that will not disappoint Samsung fans and will contain the following this 5 elementary specs:

            1.Display.- 4.5"inch HD - Super AMOLED - CGG 3
            2.Memory.- 2 GB RAM
            3.Chipset.- Snapdragon 801
            4.Camera.- 16 - 2 MP
            5.Battery.- 2500mAh or more

                Yes, but 10 MP or 8 MP is not a big difference. Unless you want to print your photo's. I recommend buying a digital camera if you think a better is a must.

                  Moto G vs S5 Mini:
                  Apart from RAM & Camera almost everything seems to be same. So for this Price should be 20-25k. Ideally around 21-22k it will sell like hot cake. But as per past experience I'm sure Samsung will price it above 25k.

                        Good phone for people who dont want a large phone. Why do we always need over the top specs. Great to have Samsung that give us multiple options.

                          Why being disappointed about specs? Samsung never said, that S5 Mini would be a high-end phone, it will be normal midrange like S3 Mini and S4 Mini before. It's not like Z1 Compact oder HTC One Mini, which are from specs much better. Samsung knows how to make money, that's why they don't make to much changes to theyr new Galaxy S models, only evolution and now revolution :-(

                            I think the processor is too weak.Been expecting exinos hexa or something equivalent.The other specs are good(except the camera unless it's isocell).Im kinda dissapointed.

                                Disappointed i know its going to be water resistance but the camera should atleast b 13mp or more

                                  the specs is ok to me. the price I expecting is around 20k. Im gonna replace my s3 mini ..

                                    Htc desire 816 has the same spec as expected s5 mini except the camera,the battey,display size and pixel density. And it cost around 24k. Galaxy s5 mini could be good if it comer under 25k.

                                        1080p or more on a smaller than 5inch screen is just bull****!! S5 mini has the perfect screen size and resolution, just wish it was OLED. Bump up the camera resolution to at least 13Mp and aperturesize F2.0 or lower! A why the f*** not use the Snapdragon 801? The perfect phone is yet to come I guess.

                                        Sony with the Z1 Compact is the only decent Mini version of it's bigger brother. When you make a mini version just shrink the size and not the perfomance! Maybe Z2 Compact is where my dreams come true :)
