Just deplete your phone's battery, that is use your phone till it reaches 0% and gets switched off. Now charge your phone for 3 hours continuously, in switched off state. It'll be charged now until 100%.
That's it, your problem solved. Now on the regular charges, your phone's battery will also cross 55%.

Had mine 3 years, Battery life is struggling, it has done a lot of work, may have been cycled 3 times every 2 days on av. The screen is still the envy of anyone who sees my beat up example, the AMOLED has left me with on intention of returning to lcd anytime. Locked standard OS 7.0 Kernel 3.10.61 is running like crap. Hope to get time to root it and replace it. Biggest disappointment with this phone is the lack of 5gHz wifi hotspot.
