"RAM is nothing to do with memory"
RAM = Random-access MEMORY.
============================
Correction:
Both are the same.
This memory is consider as running the apps.
If it is less than 1GB RAM, some apps may run slowly.
Let me explained simply for you to understand.
Open an app, a game app, and play.
Then you press the HOME key, this app will be in the background.
Open this app and you will see the screen where you had last played.
Turn off the phone, and then turn on.
Open that game app, and it will show you where you had last played.
By right, you would say the game will have to start from the beginning, but is not.
Android system have made several changes, as far as i had noticed before.
In the past when you turn off the phone, all the open apps will be closed.
BUT a couple of years ago, the Android make a BIG change.
When turning off the phone, it will not close any apps which is still open.
That is why if you turn on the phone, the game app will be at the same screen you last used, before turning off.
As what i normally do, i press the "Recent" key and clear all the apps from the background.
This is somewhat similar to computer term, it is call "Hibernate".
You may misled on another term.
""ROM - read-only memory""
ROM store the Android system, as similar to computer BIOS.

Delgado, 30 Jan 2017Guys please help, which is better S6, S5 or A5 2016?S5 appeared in Feb 2014
S6 in March 2015
A5 (2016) in Dec 2015
A5 (2017) in Jan 2017
S series is the elder of A series
S series cost higher than A series
Go for S7 as it is still very popular.
As popular, the resale value is better & higher.
That is if you intend to play with phones.
Try to go for A9 6" inch screen.

scorpio, 25 Jan 2017If you are still within warranty period the retailer should... moreThe receipt must be available to get warranty.
But if the model is less than a year, there is no issue.
Retailer & Telco(s) do not bother about retrieving the receipt, just for you, as it had already being archived.
I did asked Telco on the same day of purchase, as i lost it while shopping.
At first they refuse to provide, as the receipt MUST be of ORIGINAL copy, not photocopy.
It is the duty of the customer /owner to keep the ORIGINAL receipt properly.
Service center would normally refuse to accept photocopy, as it can be altered.

scorpio, 11 Jan 2017I think you mean that it will charge by 40% - e.g. from 40%... moreIt must be charged using the original charger.
As what i meant is that;
For example; the battery is 20% and in half hour it will be able to charge to 60%.
But to continue to charge is back to normal.
It is all depend if your battery is low or not.
If not low, then it will charge at normal rate.

I would say buying this was a big mistake. It get switched of when i need it more. Some times in the middle of a call. And i have to press all the buttons together to switch it on. I formated this twice continuousily. Still nothing has changed. All this happened within the warranty period. But unfortynately i lost my bill. I like the everything else about this mobile. This one is a real beauty,.. i have to admit..

Lee, 11 Jan 2017Very disappointed to now find out after the purchase of the... moreDon't you think you should inform yourself a bit better before you bought S6? On EVERY review out there its stated as one of the biggest negative points that it doesn't have SD card slot. I mean when I was thinking what phone to take, it was one of the biggest things that gave advantage to the LG G4 I also considered to buy. But I like Samsung's hardware home button and the volume keys on the side (G4 has on screen buttons and volume keys on the back) more than the fact that it doesn't have SD card slot. Before I got S6 I had S4 mini 8GB + 32GB card and that was enough for me, so "only" 32GB is ok for me. Anyway, you have USB OTG support (works like a charm) on the S6.
Just don't blame Samsung because you didn't reed the spec sheet where it clearly stands "micro SD card slot: NO".
