Please, don't... moreI wouldn't say ditch , but you can have both iphone and Galaxy 6edge , first question how much storage internal memory your iphone has 16gb ,32gb, 64gb, because you already use to no SD card slot Removable battery, which is not a problem for me , am getting the Galaxy 6 edge 128gb . Second question do you like emerald green , there's no iphone with this color, and last question, do you feel like treating your to a new smartphone, since you still have your iphone, if yes then you deserve it to treat yourself, if you get one enjoy ,

Should I ditch my iPhone 6 for the Edge 6?

Please, don't say "yes" just because you hate iPhone. I've had them all. I've always switched phones each season. When a new samsung galaxy came out I would buy it, then 8-10 months and I would repeat the cycle for iPhone and Samsung again. i like the phones for different reasons. I use mac computers, so it's always just been easier for me to have everything me apple and that is why I always end up buying an iPhone... but the kid in me wants all the fun of the android, so, I always buy a new Galaxy phone every other year. I had the S2, the original Note and now I have the S4 which I bought in late 2013. I then bought the iphone 6 in september, and put my samsung aside.
Now, I'm tempted to upgrade my samsung s4 to edge 6, but am I being unpractical? To me it's purely because of the design + internal design. I just hate the feel and look of S4. I only use it (S4) currently to play emulator games. I could sell it, but I would only be able to earn 25% of its original price.. and the edge is almost twice the price of the S4. Should I still invest in the Edge 6, or is it a waste of money since I already got an iphone 6 as well?

The non removalble battery is not good and there is no card slot and glass finishing on back may get damaged or scratch when it fall

So S/A/M/OLED screen tech is definitely not the future
LCD IPS proved to be much better and longer lasting technology

Everything's okay except I would have preferred a metal back (watching videos shows that it gets fingerprints galore) and a micro SD card slot. Also, I don't see what's so important about a phone being only a few millimetres thick when you have to sacrifice things such as battery life. I actually use a case on my S4 so that it's easier to hold.

I had Samsung tocco Ultra (S8300, amoled display) just before Samsung's Android era and never got any problem with it. I regret to have given it to someone.

Jason, 10 Mar 2015I can see this issue clearly happened to those display unit... moreAs you have seen those demo units are constantly plugged on A/C and have their display constantly lit. So just like any plasma/oled tv, the screen may take a hit. Even on my Edge led 4K tv, it's recommanded to not let a fixed picture on screen for too long.

A friend of mine has a S4-LTE A and uses it with long screen timeouts (10mins+) and so far has no problems despite i warned him 1 year ago.

It's your problem if you can't admit that tech has a price when it's brand new. It's not a new trend, it has always been that way in every domain.

Now S6's are packed with full of tech, being display, being cpu, being storage (go find equivalent storage in microsd card, they aren't 40$ and most expansive ones don't even match a third of S6 storage speeds), being "premium materials" etc..

I bought one of the first 24" LCD monitor FHD 1000euros when it was just out (9 years ago i think). I bet you would have same argueing. Well, i enjoyed FHD on my computer YEARS before many people. Now how much does such a LCD cost ? 100/120e ? That's the point of this discussion. You want to be cutting edge, you know what to do. You want to complain about prices and look at others with more or less jealousy. You know what to do too.

S5 wasn't 600e whent it got released. but between 649-699.
S4 same
S3 same.
S2 i don't remember but 600+

So if you aren't satisfied with pricing, go get another job, revise your priorities, choose another phone according to your budget or don't buy a new phone at all. You aren't a child to need that kind of advices?

for under 600 Euro you can find so many amazing phones, including apple!
so you stick with this piece of crap and I will buy HTC or even Apple and they are just as good if not better than this curved con

I love Samsung, but I feel let down by this rather ridicules prices.

so you go and get yourself that J1 and I stick with so many better phones at the fraction of price

why Samsung think he is giving us something which is worth nearly 1000 Euro!!
I always had Samsung, I love Samsung products, but this phone is really offering me nothing which not in the market already!
no SD card, no battery removable , no water proof, HIGH PRICE!

I really don't care bout the SD or Battery but water proof is important if you are paying that sort of money, and Samsung failed, with such a ridicules price they will not shift this, I will not buy it nor the S6 version because they have added nothing special at all.

for the first time I might consider Apple product, you know what you get for money at least,

Samsung need to sell this at 600 Euro max, or he will be out of competition this year

no matter how good this device is, this sort of price from Samsung is a total rip off, as a matter of principle I never spend that sort of money on the smart phone no matter how good it might be. it is not a laptop, it is phone and if Samsung can't manage its prices and telling us they listen to their user then I see Samsung will be in deep trouble in coming years.
they didn't even added the water proof feature! what benefit this phone really introduce than just being curved and being so expensive!???

Samsung will not shift this, the price should come down below £550 to make it a viable competition, if this is a sort of money Samsung is asking I will go and buy apple now, I hate apple but if Samsung abandon their fans by ridicules prices like this I rather to go with a proven concept like apple which will do the job just as good, and it is far cheaper than this phone! why would I pay nearly 1000 euro for 64GB memory? the memory prices have come down, why Samsung think their user are stupid to pay such a ridicules money for this phone and its storage?
