WorkHard4MyMoney, 24 Feb 2016How exactly is this different from s6? I don't see a major difference. Same thing, different name (s7). I bought a G4 Designer Edition a month back in Germany for 399 euro at Saturn. I won't need a phone for the coming 4 years. Manufacturers should de-insist from making so many phones.

Jin1234, 24 Feb 2016Fine. I suggest you to buy Sony Huis. Look up for this arti... moreThe Sony Huis is currently available only in Japan and it seems that there are no plans to release it anywhere outside their home. And you suggest me to pay an extra $250 for an IR blaster, which even Xiaomi added on the Mi 5. The point is that the IR blaster is such a cheap sensor that was so far included in all Samsung flagships and I don't understand the reason for removing it. Why not leave it there and make everybody happy?

Anonymous, 24 Feb 2016You really don't understand the real use of the IR blaster.... moreFine. I suggest you to buy Sony Huis. Look up for this article in gsmarena: Sony Huis - the crowd-funded, e-Ink based universal remote. It is an IR blaster remote like you want. Most smartphone company seem not to keen on integrating it into smartphone anymore. See, Sony made a separate IR blaster just for people like you since you demand it so much. Happy now?

No removable battery! Thanks for listening and bringing back Infrared and SD Card but, what about removable battery the biggest problem of all! The only reason I choose my Galaxy S4 over so many fast and capable phones was its expandability (Specially Battery). it surely cannot be that hard!!

It doesn't matter if your TV is smart or not. I have a smart TV, a 5.1 sound system that can connect to the Wi-Fi, a set-top box, and an air conditioner. So how is the IoT currently helping me? Well it simply doesn't because there isn't any way to turn on all these devices through the Wi-Fi. Instead, I have simply set up a macro in my remote control app and I press ONE button to turn on all these devices. Can you please suggest me a way to do that without an IR blaster on my phone?

Anonymous, 22 Feb 2016more than 99% people never uses the IR blaster lolActually you are wrong. There was a survey recently on Samsung mobile, where the results showed that most people prefer the IR blaster than the heart rate monitor, fingerprint sensor or mobile payments. So get your facts straight first.

Samsung, could you please explain us why you removed the IR blaster on the S7? It's the most used feature on my S5 and although I've been a Samsung fan for years, this year I'm getting the LG G5. And yes, I don't want to use 10 different remotes for my home theater setup. The phone does a better job.
