Samsung, could you please explain us why you removed the IR blaster on the S7? It's the most used feature on my S5 and although I've been a Samsung fan for years, this year I'm getting the LG G5. And yes, I don't want to use 10 different remotes for my home theater setup. The phone does a better job.

ian, 23 Feb 2016quadcore??? really?? s6 has octacore already with 16mp c... moreDoes it really matter??
How many apps do you think can take advantage of all that extra cores??
Besides the s6 used an older architecture which was slower and power hungry compared to the new one..
S7 is supposed to have different processors for different models set to be released in different parts of the world.
Asian market will get exynos models.. US will get snapdrangon 820.

Caesar, 24 Feb 2016Quadcore + Quadcore = OctaIan - Quad core is for the Snapdragon 820 version, whereas the Exynos 8890 comes with quad core configurations.. 4 of them cores are Samsung's first custom cores. Do some readings first before throwing judgements.. as the number of cores do not translate to more powerful overall performance in real life. Initial test shows that Snapdragon 820 is a wee bit powerful than Exynos 8890.

Same goes for the camera - megapixel count does not matter.. unless if you want to print poster-sized pics from your smartphone camera. New sensor & some other things are the main focus.. promising better camera performance. Do you even read?

As we can see through Your comment it was very hard marketing decision, but in this case more does not always mean better. Too high density of pixels in camera makes more noise thus makes picture look worse. Find more info on it and You'll be suprise.

Now the S7 has the Qualcomm 820 which has 2 less cores... And don't forget that it has that liquid cooling stuff too, so the 810 may not even overheat like in the HTC one M9.

And then come the camera... Yea... It has it's better things here and there... But it still has lost 4MP... I still have a phone in a box which has got a 4MP camera...
