Mp means how much you can blow up the pictures if u want more mp go and buy a dlsr camera.
More important is low light exposure shutter speed ios setting so get over more mp on a phone

The camera is not a downgrade, if you know photography and anything about optics and lenses you would know that no cellphone camera is actually producing those megapixel numbers as true seperate sharp pixels. If you take pictures from a 16mp DSLR and compare to a 16mp S6 you will see this as an obvious difference in quality like night and day. A bigger sensor with a better lens that is 12mp will be far superior to a 16mp tiny sensor where all those pixels are blurring together

Samsung is not creative enough hey, this phone looks exactly like s6.whats with the 12MP whereas s5 has 16MP.i like the fact that it has a microSD card slot, unlike s6.water and dust resistant, ok! it has been done before on s5, couldn't they make it waterproof instead?It could have been a bit bigger, but then again im assuming in a months time they will be having s7 edge plus!

I ran out off things to do with the iphone. I enjoy the Galaxy much bettet. Not anything too misd out on with the Galaxy. Only that I enjoy the 16 MP camera and would not downgrade to a S7 becsusr the camera is only 12 MP. Interesting me. Bump or no bump. I was not minding the bump. I like ridiclous things. Anythong which out smarts the Apple is what, I want.

Infrared = YesYes, for a while I was happy because GSMArena has mentioned that it does have an infrared, but I was certain it doesn't as seeing the top of the phone doesn't show an infrared, so I checked Samsung's official site for the specs of the S7 and yes, they have ditched the infrared, now GSMArena has corrected the specs sheet
