G5 stepped up with metal unibody design and still managed to included removable battery, expandable memory. The removable battery concept in G5 is really innovative and to the same innovation they have added modules such as DAC, camera module.

Well i dont understand how the edge version should be thinner than normal version. Maybe thats your weight answer i really have no idea.

All Samsung phones will get update for only 18 months. So after 18 month Samsung expect you to buy their new flagship. My galaxy note 3 stopped getting update for last 8 months though it has great chipset, GPU and RAM. samsung will make low end set with android 6.0 without paying attention to one year old flagship. So after one year, this Samsung Galaxy S7 will no longer get any update. for this reason i switched to iPhone because apple update their all devices including 5 year-old iPhone 4s at the same time. sorry for my English.

What I am saying, is that there is essentially no new feature, that other smartphones wouldn't have already. Therefore, maybe smartphone development has reached a peak and from now on we will only see improvements on the existing features. It is not all bad, it might bring down the prices and force producers to switch focus on user experience and software. If you ask me, I find it ridiculous that the latest flagship smartphone costs as much as a decent windows laptop, but I realize that it is a symbol of prestige and social status, like a luxury car or a big house, so they'll keep making good profit :))

Didn't buy S6 because of some specs I didn't like and all those missing parts are here in S7 now. Going to buy it whenever it is out for sale in market.

I'm curious how come the weight is only 5g lighter than edge version ?
considering 5.1 vs 5.5 size, 3000 vs 3600 battery.
