Anonymous, 14 Aug 2022Pls is it advisable to get s7 in 2022No it's best to go for a more modern phone even if that includes increasing your budget. For the galaxy's s7 release time it was very nice, butbiw it's just how any other old pgibe would be. Outdated, overheating and in general, just unable to keep up with new apps.

Anonymous, 14 Aug 2022Pls is it advisable to get s7 in 2022I had this phone in 2018 (2 years after it was released on market) and honestly, It was a very good smartphone, the only issue I find with this phone is the battery, it is very small and gets discharged very quickly, and also the overheating with some games.

I would suggest you to buy this phone if you only want it for photos, social media and calls, but for otter stuff it might not be useful.

My recommendation is to look for a more newer
Samsung model (if you want specifically that brand) such as the S10+, Note 10 and S20 FE, those are good phones with good specs for 2022, you can find it in used condition at a very good price

The S7 is relatively solid, but it is now nowhere as good as the newer models. After just two years, the battery life severely drains out in a matter of just 2 hours from only texting. The camera zoom quality is atrocious as well. The native program for cleaning files and optimizing battery life is nice, but it gives false estimations.

Still, it's a good phone for medium usage. Just do not expect to be web browsing, watching videos, or using an app on it for long without a charger. Long, as in 2 hours of constant usage. It may last longer when new, but the battery gets worn down fast.

Anonymous, 15 Jun 2022S7 dosen't support Android 9 and above. If you’re using the stock OS supplied by Samsung, support stopped at Oreo (8).

If you are willing to unlock the boot loader and install a community supported open source OS then there are a variety of options for significantly newer versions.

Unfortunately, Samsung phones that were sold under contract from a US carrier have boot loaders that cannot be unlocked (this is totally separate from a SIM card lock) and so those models are probably permanently stuck with Samsung’s discontinued stock OS.

still using this phone, exynos variant. tried to think about replacing it with an s22, but s22 is crap. battery life is bad, heating is annoying, so I went down a bit, on an s20 snapdragon model.

Been using the s7 since when it came out in 2016. Truly did not expect for it to last me this long. Replacing the phone finally in a few days with the s22. Hopefully it will last me a similar length of time.

After 5 years I am still using this phone and it is great!
I 've recently changed the battery and I hope that it will last for a long time.
Apart from the problem with the outdated OS the phone doesn't lag and works like a charm.
