Found this phone in the drawer and put pixel experience on it running Android 11. I missed the compact display on it. Nice phone, still works good after 5 years. Battery still sucks as it always did. Other than that , its a great phone. I hate perfectly good hardware going to waste because vendors won't provide updates so I put on my own ROMs. Such a waste of great hardware. Pixel runs great on it, fast, reliable and all the features of s modern phone from a software perspective. Gpay and all other banking apps work perfectly fine on it. Going to use it now along with my a50 also with pixel and s9 with arrows 12. Nothing wrong with running old hardware on new versions of Android and in most cases slot faster than the newer medium to low end devices on the market today.

faster than Nintendo switch when it comes to storage, CPU, Display and RAM
but the GPU will be faster than the nintendo switch when its overclocked at 820MHz
my dad owns a S7e 3 years ago and still uses it today [not overclocked or rooted]

Wow, I switched to this phone because I returned crappy exynos S20FE, and then my Xiaomi note 8 pro died.
This is actually a really good phone. Fingerprint is amazing, battery is the same like latest (crap) s22 even though it was used.
love the small screen buttons and more functions then latest phones. O wish they remade this actually

I'm using the s7 and I can say its the best phone the battery life is very good, clear cameras and fast to.

Also, for battery, I've read 2 research papers which confirm that a battery lasts 3 times longer, if you charge only upto 80%, not beyond it. A free App called Accubattery can help you with this on any Android phone.
Better get a compatible battery installed, not original. Mostly it works almost the same.

I was saddened to discover it will no longer work with my or any other carrier due to carriers dropping support for old tech standards. After much googling I've preordered the S22+.

How the hell did they get ~15hours video playback? I don't even get ~10hours (that with a new battery, test at 2900mah, which is basically same as original)!

I despised this phone so much, I brought out an old Nokia 700. Im still using it today. Reason: Samsung S7 has about the worst phone signal I've ever encountered on a mobile...and I was born in '75 so Ive seen them all.
The fingerprint scanner is SUPER annoying cos it still randomly asks for you to type i the password...usually this is when you're in the car.
IT takes AGES to charge and it heavy on the battery.

After a day or 2 the screen went black again. Heating again brought back full screen. Don't know why 1/2 the screen keeps going black?
