I'm playing PUBG MOBILE on my Galaxy S7 with graphics set to very low and frame rate medium. Although the game runs fine but there are occasions lags and frame drops and the battery drains 30-40 percent after an hour of gameplay. Anyone else noticing the same?

S7 & S7 Edge Oreo update has resumed. When is the launch date in India? How is the phone performing after the update? Did anyone notice any kind of degradation after the update? Some post a review for the curious users like me.

I have recieved the S7 Edge Oreo update in the UK and the battery life has dropped from around 35% at bed time to now being at 5%. I have tried a factory reset and that did not fix anything.

Camera is good enough in s7 if you ask me. You should definitely try pixel 2 if you can. Best camera of 2017 or 2018.

It's a rule of thumb always backup before any upda... moreI just went with samsung because I wanted the best camera on smartphones, that time S8 was the flagship and S8 and S7s camera didn't have much of a difference... I came from a oneplus 3, which was damn fast and just used to glide through the UI, and to my shock the camera was also not much of a improvement on the S7... From that day, it has just spoiled my taste for the S7... Also, I can bare with slow updates bro, but atleast there should be a update, I didn't know about the strategy of providing late update to last generation flagship to force them towards new ones, until someone on gsmarena told me... Sammy is just ripping out their customers...

Shhzd amar, 17 May 2018It shows how irresponsible samsung is with their updates...... moreDude ... It's a rule of thumb always backup before any update...even the update pop up says so..is that Samsung's fault too if no one keeps a backup?? No I am not at all favouring Samsung on the contrary I have always opposed Samsung because of how bloated Sammy software was before s7/s7 edge. What you've gone through I will not disagree , touchwiz was a nightmare to live with. Even I had htc desire 820 sold it off because battery worn out. After owning s7 i just dont want to go back to any other oem because it suits my usage pattern may ne not for others.and lastly you are completely right about Sammy update strategy everyone knows that. But atleast they are the giving update and acknowledging their fault its a big deal. I will say always choose a brand that suits your need. If you want super fast update and stock experience Samsung is not for you. Go for pixel/android one/one plus route.

Anonymous, 17 May 2018Do you know what actually happened??? Some People's phone w... moreIt shows how irresponsible samsung is with their updates... Those whose devices got struck in bootloop after the update would have lost their data... And pls bro, I'm not someone who has never used a samsung device in the past, the same was the case with grand 2, note 3 and even S6... I have used the note 3 and grand 2 myself and my friend had a S6, as soon as any update comes, battery life degrades tremendously, there are overheating issues and sometimes even camera quality degrades... Later on they give stablity updates and after that the performance improves, I still remember I had a grand 2 and it used to charge it 3-4 times a day to get going, I recieved the update in july and in November it got stablized and this was the same case with the other devices that I've mentioned... And I've used other brands too, I had a x play and there were issues after the update, same with htc desire 820 and oneplus 3, major updates are never perfect, so just stop favouring Samsung for every mistake... Yes the update is late and the reason is their marketing strategy to push people towards the latest phone...

Some People's phone was stuck at bootloop after update and simple reset from recovery fixed that. For that simple issue Samsung halted the update so that other customers can have a seamless experience although hard reset is mandatory after such major update. It shows the level of commitment of samsung.
