Samsung Galaxy S7

there is once again a concerted effort by the large wireless carriers including at&t, verizon, t-mobile etc., to push users to purchase new equipment. the samsung galaxy s7 is compatible with the network services provided by these carriers. i purchased my phone unlocked to avoid the constant issues dealing with dishonest sales staff. this user base is not the test bed for 5g and as such should not submit to their nonsense. there are numerous mobile virtual network operators that support most every frequency band. i've found that at&t is the worst and most egregious offender in the group. the fcc should be notified if you continue receiving false and misleading information.

I'm very frustrated that my Sprint/T-Mobile carrier doesn't want me to use this phone anymore. I agree that it is just everyone trying to bulldoze us into buying new phones. I'd buy a new phone if it was as sweet as my Galaxy s71

My S7 fell on the floor and nothing cracked but the screen simply stopped working. Finding a replacement screen (and frame) costs more than an used S7 so I don't know what to do. Maybe it's time to say good bye.

Diabolik, 06 Nov 20215 years for an almost 1000$ device is A JOKE.That's nuts. My Kyocera Hydro Life C6530 lasted just over 4 years before having to change it as there's no custom roms for it and many apps can't install/update on Android 4.3. Just sold it for $105 CDN. Originally $325 USD but paid $75.88 USD at a Walmart clearance sale plus $23 USD to unlock it. Now almost 2.5 years later I really love the $99 USD shipped Umidigi A5 Pro that replaced it. Now that's a great ROI any way you look at it. Imagine spending $2300 USD on a new iPhone and it lasts you 4-5 years at the most. Add-on any repairs from drops and you're really getting stung by Apple.

I've cleaned contacts inside, changed batteries, tried a new SIM card, tried it without the memory card, did a factory reset, cleared the cache. No luck. Today, it just continuously reboots until I pull the battery. I can't even get it into safe mode now. What have you tried? Has anyone successfully saved their S7?

We also cracked open the back and changed the battery. It was great even though the back is now cracked :-) I am on Sprint network. T-Mobile has been sending me notices that the phone will no longer work on their network because the phone is a 3G phone???? 4G LTE is the phone. I called T-Mobile and just felt like I was getting bull dozed into buying a new phone. especially since T-Mobile is still advertising 3G plans :-(

Any1 else having freezing issues? Like the phone suddenly rebooted(not yet low on battery) then it freezes. Forcing it to reboot suddenly turns the screen black and blue led flash blinking? I think this issue only happend on the last oreo update(looks like planned obscolence) though I wanted to go back to Nougat maybe even Marshmallow but Samsung forcefully locked up downgrade possibilities. Never gonna buy another Samsung.

This was, for me, always reliable. Went from the S7 to the S10 as the battery of the S7 finally aged out holding no charge. Feeling courageous, I cracked open the back cover (literally) and inserted a new cell. Now it is like having a brand new 5 year old phone to use for kids' games as well as the WPS button feature for WiFi trouble shooting. The 4GB memory was perhaps the only shorrfall but it handled any app.

The phone was working find for 5 years with one time incident of black screen within a year and later no issues till the day arrived with phone landing in dead mode. it is like having most trust with the device and one fine day, a big problem and switch the other device. So the good performance is not a indication of further reliability of the device,

Same here. I've had it since 3rd quarter of 2016 and is still using it now. Had zero problem apart from the truth that the phone is getting old now and slower for recent new applications. I had a galaxy S1 (the very first generation of Samsung Galaxy) and didn't have good experiences with it because the Android OS at that time wasn't really stable. The bad impression has been following me since then and I didn't buy any other Galaxy until this S7. However, it completely changed my mind and my view about the Samsung products. I'm planning to buy a new phone and due to the finance limitation, I may have to go for a cheaper one though I think the S21 is another amazing phone from Samsung.
