Been using a used version of it past 6-7 months. Despite having fears of having a sealed battery that can explode with time, its working great. Cam is nice, software is less laggy. Probably the best off-generation budget phone you can have right now.

If it would be metal, then any sort of temperature changes would quickly effect it... Glass being less responsive to temperature changes, if it traps the heats than it would also won't let the phone heat quickly...
Anyways try to find out how the camera lens shattered... Maybe it would be, because of the temperature changes... Such cases have been with other phones too, ( I guess the 6p)...
And best of luck for your next phone

Shhzd amar, 01 Jan 2018Bro, the ambient temperature plays a huge role in the tempe... moreI agree with you bro.
For the camera, it shattered spontaneously while driving back to home. The phone had like 13 or 14 months. If I had broken it, I wouldn't complain.
As for overheating, I know that ambiant temperature plays a big role, as well as construction materials ( glass essentially) that do not help the phone to cool down. But when you read reviews about how cool the phone stays after lots of gaming and benchmark tests and praising the exynos 8890 or sd 820 and keep telling that sd 810 overheating issue was something from the past... In fact if I had a stylus I wouldn't complain either ( but due to the note 7 fiasco and that I have not found a note 5 in my country). I can live with a hot phone ( even if it starts lagging and Internet speed drops), I can live with a laggy phone,or with a cracked screen (but usable), but when camera was fine and suddenly became UNUSABLE just because there is a manufacturer defect that Samsung don't want to admit... The phone was solid during 13 months but after that, no. BTW my mother's S7 is still going strong, she bought it the same day and from the same shop as me. Sorry but I want a RELIABLE phone and I paid nearly 550 usd to get it. All that makes me think twice before considering a Samsung phone again.
Thank you for your kind reply anyway.

As of now there are winters in my country, so when kept idle my phone becomes way too cold, so is my liquid cooling system working too great? No, its the ambient temperature...
Also bro, when a phone drops, its completely to your luck if it would survive, because the angle by it drops plays a major role to its durability...
Also, how can you expect a shattered camera lens to take great pictures...

I agree with you, the S7 isn't flawless ( no phone in fact), but I suggest you to look at nokia 8 and 9, they seem interesting. If I can get a phone now, it would be nokia 8. I am suffering now from my S7.

I have this phone since summer 2016. Good performance, with hiccups here and there, but as I live in a hot city, my phone gets way too hot that feels unpleasant, I have to use it without a case to help it cool down, and a single drop was sufficient to shatter its right low screen corner. It is a fragile product. Very fragile in fact. I once picked it up from my pocket and I was surprised to see my camera lens shattered, it takes blurry pictures and I cannot use autofocus nor manual focus. I knew that it was fragile before I purchased it, but I didn't expect it to be that way. I am not sure if I will pick a Samsung phone again, because even my former S3 neo takes better pictures than this useless camera. Don't get me wrong, before it shattered ALONE it has been taking great pictures, but now...
I don't know what the liquid cooling system is doing there if this phone can get too hot as reviews continue to tell people that it stays cool, but I live in a region where it can be as hot as 48 Celsius degrees. Very disappointed. What is the point of a good phone with a good screen and good performance if its rear camera is useless? Now I have to take pictures with the front camera like a fool, and even so it takes blurry pictures (less blurry than the rear camera) because of the lack of OIS. I am interested by Nokia 8 and 9 and future Nokia phones ( and Sony future phones because existing ones have average camera according to reviews). That is my personal experience.
N.B 1: the camera lens shattered spontaneously, go to Samsung s7 forum and check out that.
N.B 2: You may say that you have flawless camera, and that's good, but MY camera lens shattered alone, as I put my phone alone in the pocket and not in the contact of any keys or something.
