The only major difference is the infinity screen and iris scanner. The S7 is a huge upgrade from the S5, even a significant upgrade from the S6. But you should have gone with the S8 instead if you could afford it since "bezel-less" design is the new trend in smartphones now.

AnonD-50664, 22 Oct 2017what the different between s7 and s7 duos?? Nothing to worry much for S7 Exynos variant.As it comes with a hybrid sim tray , one can easily use 2 sims + SD card at the same time by Hybrid Sim Adapter which can be easily hidden with the help of a back case.

Recently I notice on the screen of my S7 (SM-G930F) on the IMDB app (which has a dark grey background) a bar (lighter dark grey) from top to bottom (in width from the letters NG of Samsung logo through the front camera). I notice that anomaly in darker rooms with few light. I have already try another apps with darker backgrounds and even grey wallpapers and I still notice the problem. I already sent my S7 to Samsung assistance, and they returned it to me. They didn't detect any anomaly in the equipment with the diagnostics they made, but I still have the problem. Anyone notice this kind of problem on the S7?

I had the choice of the S8 over the S7 and I took the S7, only because of the new aspect ratio on the S8 and the lack of media on the market to compliment it. Now I have the worst buyers remorse ever. I had the S5 for 4 years and the phone is falling appart now, the software is toast; and in all honesty, I cant tell the difference between my old phone and the new S7. If I look at the specs, it seems that the S5 was a better and more inteligent phone than the S7? can anyone tell me what the hell did I do right by choosing the S7 because it seems to me like a bunch of rubbish. I cant believe I got a new S5 in a S7 box. I just want to frieken cry.

It feels much easy to handle the S7.. The size is just perfect for me. Everything is top notch. The camera is marvellous on the S7, the pro mode is great and easy to use even for a newbie to creative photography. Focusing is damn fast. Faster than I've seen on any phone or point and shoot cameras. Dual Pixel works like a charm in any lighting condition. Samsung's camera computational algorithms works intelligently, like determining the best image values in different lighting conditions. What I really like is the pro mode, it's not just easy to use but really well thought out. I'm very much into smartphone photography, and I love taking nice shots. I have had quite a good camera phones like the Nokia N8 in the past, a great camera phone during its time. The S7 is miles ahead of N8's camera quality and there's no comparison between the two except when it comes to flash type. Xenon flash freezes action so you can take shots like this in low light. https://imgur.com/a/wMNq0
I've taken difficult shots like birds in flight mode with my S7, could have done better if it had optical zoom. Panaromas shots are high resolution with plenty of details (huge mb) and it's the best I've ever seen on a phone. OIS works like really good in low light. The S7 Camera is indeed awesome and top notch.

Mohammad, 20 Oct 2017Does your phone have enough vibration or ringtone strength ... moreI just noticed after reading your comment my feature phone has strong vibration motor so I can even hear it. On my S7, the vibration even in full intensity is bit refined and not really much strong, as pointed by Shhzd amar.. You can try the different vibration patterns to see if it works for you. It's not a big deal for me because I never had an issue with the vibration strength paired with my ringtone sound.

Switching from such motors to a refined motor will take some time for getting used to... The same motor is being used for generations now, the latter started with the S3 and then on every flagship its the same...
Just wait a bit, and you will get used to...

It is perhaps the only device ever manufactured with this laughingly surprising vibration and ringtone issue.
I wonder what is the reason nobody among thousands of people using s7 ever expresses their anger and dissatisfaction on the same issue, and more importantly, why samsung could not see the boldest issue in their control units.
If this is ignorable, or requires me to adjust my cloths, why is it that no other device from no other company bears the same problem?

Well, coming from a oneplus device, I feel that the S7's software gets easily corrupted... The oneplus 3 had a tad better software experience and how hard I use the phone, whatever mischievous things I did to it, it would never get corrupted... Just yesterday my whatsapp got some issues, and they got fixed only after I reinstalled it... Lost all the recent chats
