S7 Croatia, 26 Oct 2017Screan glass broke while it was in the pocket. Then more da... moreThere's a thing called tempered glass which protects your screen from getting damaged. I also had an S6 edge plus before the S7 and made sure to use some protection in case if it falls or something, afterall you need to be cautious with these expensive phones.

Steve, 26 Oct 2017Got this phone based on all the rave reviews and I don't se... moreI'm using the S7 since over 4 months and I haven't faced battery issues, mine easily lasts for over a day on normal uasage, I'm not a gamer normally use it for social networking sites and intensive camera usage.

Battery life on this phone is worse than my iphone 5s
Wi-Fi calling option dosent work worth a crap
At end of work day my iPhone 5s is at 60-65%
Galaxy s7 is at 10-15%

Screan glass broke while it was in the pocket. Then more damadge as it fell from 30 cm hight. It basically broke in the first month of owning it. Very disapointed. Had S6 before, used it 2 years without protective case no problem. S7 one month two issues, big damage.

Samsung Galaxy S7 and LG G5 were equal outright winners. Third place was Iphone 7 and last place was Sony Xperia XZ.
"Sony Xperia XZ is a not a universally excellent all-round photography tool as the LG G5 and Samsung S7 are, and the Sony XZ can occasionally trip here and there - especially in low light."
The later released Google Pixel phone wasn't included in the test, and probably was the Best cameraphone of 2016.

KartKN, 25 Oct 2017Please advise if I can now buy the S7 at the price of INR.3... moreYou said it, it is released in early 2016 and as i always say it is pretty risky for a Samsung smartphone, if you want Samsung exclusively get the s8 instead, and in general the camera of the s8 is far superior to the camera of the s7, the selfy camera of the s7 is also below, if you don't want Samsung exclusively you can get other excellent smartphones from another brands i mentioned in a comment down there with far better lifespan and bug free performance for a long time.

It's completely a kick a$$ phone, even if you're not a gamer you'll love to play games on it as they run without any hassle. Camera is one of the best you can get compared to the latest flagships out there infact it's the highlight of S7, it can take superb quality pics in any lighting conditions trust me I've taken lots of pics in low lights even without using the flash and they look pretty awesome, you don't even have to do any adjustments. Battery life is really good I charge my phone just once a day, mind you I'm not a heavy gamer. So all in all the S7 is a pocket size powerhouse!!!

Please advise if I can now buy the S7 at the price of INR.30000/-.(Brand new device, Flipkart offer)
1.I'm not a Gamer nor expecting SD835's performance as I'm currently using Lenovo P2(SD 625(happy with the perfomance), 3GB RAM & 32GB ROM).
2.My Priorities are Camera with great Low-light Photography & Videography and above average SoT.
3.I know any device can't compete with Lenovo P2's Battery performance(3days stand-by for average use) and it's SoT(10-11hrs), however I'm looking out for above average SoT of 5-6hrs, does S7 can do that?
4. What is the latest Android version avaialbe for S7 and what is expected to arrive.
5. is that now fine to get this device as it was released in the starting of 2016 and now roughly 1.75yrs old model?

Many brands are copying features from Samsungs touchwiz, including Google Pixel and Sony phones.
Google phones updates are the fastest. Followed by Motorola and Sony. However, Sony may be fast, but these updates have proven to be very unstable and have many bugs.

You said that your old s5 which is supposed to be 2014 smartphone almost 3.5 years old has toasted software etc, well let me tell you that the s7 is almost 2 years old, good luck after few months and especially after it gets Oreo, and let me tell you that the camera of the s8 is the first and only one good camera ever made by Samsung far superior to the s7, never mentioning that there were plenty of s7 battery failures similar to the note 7 last year, if i were you i would choose the s8, but wait, why is it always so many people restricting themselves with what Samsung and Apple offering, these two brands are way overrated, try Google pixel, Sony Xperia, HTC, Oneplus... Or stop buying Samsung smartphone then complain folks, Seriously, if you still have chance to change and you want Samsung smartphone exclusively send it back and get the s8.

Talking about differences between S5 and S7, there are many... The camera and UI will be different, processor is more powerful, screen is much better etc etc... Don't judge your phone by using it just for a day or two...
