Anybody knows how to turn off software updates? I mean i know to to disable them from downloading automatically,but how to turn off permenently from even showing that there is an software update,because it is running in my background and draining battery,but i cant disable them from my apps...

Yes, Yes it Does.
battery life decrease on Nougat OS version (7.0), maybe they added more activate software on background, I don't know exactly.. But I have a feeling,
if S7 | S7 edge was available upgradable on next OS soon.. (android O) S7 | S7 edge will similar display just like S8, ex : clear icon, UX open Apps Menu, or even Bixby, S8 animation wallpaper, etc. Why I said like that, because now, there are so many apps from Samsung on Galaxy Store/Play Store that icon has been change similar on Galaxy S8 today (Calculator, , No Doubt about it, it will be like that soon as android O was official release
just realize All Galaxy S5, S6, S6 edge, S6 edge +, Note 5, S7, S7 edge now the icon menu is similar with Note 7 now, before that, they're all different!

If you think a new flagship series like S8 is released, your suggestion for people is Buy S8, I don't think so, you will continuously say like that soon as the next S9 release will come next year with the same suggestion, and It burn our money from year by year because of that, "Smartphone gets Revolutionary" and never stop on S8. I was improve this S7 edge, this is great device, the price is not as expensive as before but still on the high category price Equal on its performance and other things, you can get this Beast Phone. , That's all :)

I hate it when i hear many people commenting crazy about the galazy s7 edge Nouget upgrade. There's this advice i will give to guys who upgrade from 6.0.1 to 7.0 nouget.
1. If you upgrade through OTA from your network provider, after you finished updating your phone, kindly reset the mobile phone back to factory settings so that the new update will take place fully and your phone will look like you just bought it new from shop. I have the galaxy s7 5 months ago on my birthday with marshmallow 6.01 and then i upgraded to 7.0 Nouget and finally i bought galaxy s7 edge last month also and upgrade it to 7.0 nouget, they are all great phones and i never experienced any battery issues from both phones.. i think the galaxy s7 edge with nouget upgrade is the best ever phone on the planet at the moment.
I want to give some bit of advice to some guys who are complaining about their samsung phones.. if you are living in India, Pakistan, Philippines and some other African countries apart from South Africa itself, if you want to buy a new phone, i will advice you to go to your network provider to buy your choice of mobile phone. Please don't look at the price difference from the ones you get outside their office because most sellers you meet out there selling in local shop are not giving you the right mobile brand from samsung. They give you a look alike mobile and if you don't know much about mobile you will have problems with it and you will come here to complain that you have this issues or that issues. Please be wise when you want to spend your money on mobile brands cos people buy the 2nd class products that looks like the original brands this days so they can sell it for same price of the original just to meet up with dairly expenses..

I bought this phone in February 2017. I had really high hopes for it but I am very disappointed. It keeps lagging so badly. Notifications are muted every now and then for no reason, fb messenger kept flickering for quite some time when I opened the app, keyboard stays open even after closing an app and in general the phone is very slow. I am deeply disappointed. It has one of the greatest displays and cameras but the lag factor is a major issue. If someone can advice me on what to do, please feel free...

Hi I have a S7 Edge, The screen start to flicker when I open Messenger and Facebook and it does not happen when I press the home button but usually it happens when scrolling Facebook and Messenger. Please reply
