Phone like thi... morehmm.. maybe because they increase the resolution display from 1440x2560 qhd(S7) -> 1440x2960 qhd(S8) to avoid from pixel per inch (ppi) decreased and not good to looks cause of the screen size is getting bigger but the resolution is still the same, so they increase that, especially for S8+.
did you said "discontinue"?... If a phone has no problem or anything else similar it, they will never discontinue

Galaxy S7 edge is the first smartphone perform with DSLR technology camera today (on my opinion that's almost impossible they compress it from DSLR camera into small size inside of the phone), that's why Galaxy S7 | S7 edge can create Dual Pixel camera with massive AutoFocus(AF), and high precision rating on every pixel, so "megapixel" now is not the point to make all camera more better result than you expected.
So.. S8 and S8+ will still using the same specs of the camera from the Galaxy S7, they just increase megapixel on the front camera from 5 to 8mp

I was eagerly waiting for S8+ but got disappointed by the screen aspect ratio which is not at all good to view videos. I have seen the phone and experienced it also its very uncomfortable to type too. Big no to S8/S8+. I will buy 2 more sets of S7 edge before it gets discontinue.

Corning Gorilla Glass 4 (my a**) just 24h with the phone and the display was scratched !!! Just my phone in the pocket!!! Disappointing :-( :-( :-(
