AnonD-754407, 24 Apr 2018I bought a Samsung S7 edge in December 2016 in India. After... morehi.. As per my best knowledge... In India, phones are assembled not purely manufactured in India.
Chip manufacturing unit in China and Most of the phone now a days selling this chip set.
Most of the parts are importing from china (Chip-charger-headphone-display etc). For Tax relaxation Big company like Samsung putting there plant in India so that they can save the money and work easily with Government.
But they selling these phones as with the name pasted Manufacture in India.
For building a chip making plant is very tough in India. Because the India government norms are very hard to maintain for building a chip plant. And for buil the Chip factory plant the cost is very very huge i mean really huge, even apple is also using Samsung chio and memory in his phones.
And secondly, Samsung is also a chip maker. They using his own processor with the name of EXNOS processor in flagship phones. Because they want to make profit and encourage his product in Asian market.
Even S7edge Exnos processor is well performed than snapdragon and its still worked good.

I wish that Samsung send an update to calibrate the colors as they did with note 5. The white and other colors in note 5 are more accurate and better.
But I prefer s7 because the battery, processor and ram management are better

I bought a Samsung S7 edge in December 2016 in India. After around 8 months the phone started freezing, and eventually a local Samsung service centre replaced its motherboard for free. The phone started freezing again in January 2018. Since, it was not in warranty anymore I gifted it to my friend.
MORAL: The flagship phone did not even last a year.
I have heard from many sources that Samsung phones (even flagship phones) manufactured in India alwaysperform as compared to the ones available outside india, the main reason being that Samsung puts their in-house chips into the phones manufactured in India, as opposed to the high quality Snapdragon chips.

I traded my S7 edge for the S8 plus as they had good discount for the S8 plus after the release of the S9 series, my S7 edge was a superb phone and the S8 plus is even better, updated it to Oreo and enjoying its flawless performance with outstanding camera.

My Blue Coral S7Edge already died due to motherboard problem. If I want to sell it, what is the suitable price in your opinion? No crack/scratch, no pink line as well. Just motherboard problem.

HTC usually keeps their high end phones in time for updates. Samsung take their time which can be pretty long... LG is one of the worst they don't even bother to update their flagships.

I have heard that the Galaxy S7/S7 Edge is slowly getting the much awaited Oreo update. But considering the release date which Android OEM maker is still wee bit faster than the other one (in chronological order please) when it comes to software updates, security updates, bug fixes, emergency patches, etc...Samsung, Motorola or Huawei/Honor?

My phone felt and I notice that there was a vertical violent ink line at the right side and so do my friends with the same phone ie s7 edge. Why always the right side and not at the left and how do I fix it because the line keeps sprspreading. Help

Oreo is out for galaxy a5 2017 and for s7 yet....samsung always support new phone...

S7edgeuser, 18 Apr 2018Ive had no problems with battery. Just found out it was a bug causing the drain that is cell standby i had to reset my network and clear cache now it's no more draining. What i don't know is if it would start draining again..would i have to be doing this all the time
