There is a reason they are called water resistant a not water proof. the idea behind the water resistance is more for if the phone is in your pocket in the pouring rain or if you accidentally drop it in the sink. I wouldnt try it myself. But thats just my opinon.

john snow , 15 Apr 2018can i take a photo underwater with my s7 edge yes. the screen will be unresponsive in most real life circumstances so just open the camera app and use the volume button to take the pictures.
ive taken pics in the sea before and havent had issues. just rinse it well after to get rid of the salt from sea or chlorine from pool.
be aware that even though the phone has a water resistant rating, bricking your phone because exposure to liquid void your warranty.

Its always been that way. It takes time to push updates out to devices. One country might get it earlier than another country. Its been like that with every updates on samsung phones. We just have to wait for update. I was told august. Then someone says late april. Dont know for sure when update will come. But at least we know s7 edge is getting oreo . Its just a case of waiting.

It's one of the few to publish road maps for major updates of Samsung phones. Unfortunately, as the website admits itself in an article, Samsung Turkey is not in the frontline of software updates on Europe.
On the topic of S7/edge Oreo update, Samsung fota servers already show that almost all European CSC are testing G935FXXU2ERD4, being the Oreo update. Still, Samsung is known to release it's security updates and major releases first to one or two CSC, usually asking BTU, DBT, PHN, than wait for I've more week to start releasing it to other European CSC. If Turkey does not postpone its April 27 date, we can presume this coming week we will see the first official release of Oreo for S7/edge in Europe. I won't be suprised that the first official release will be to only a few chosen ones. Sanding has had some problems with major updates after first official release and it's cautious.

Some people already know this but it seems not everyone. The update moved from April 13th to the 27th in Turkey. This doesn't mean all devices will get it on that date. Some might get it earlier or later. Netherlands (PHN) are typically the fastest when it comes to S7 edge updates so hopefully they can release it sooner.
