"After two years of use, Samsung R&D boss Oh Boo-keun told us the Galaxy S8 should still hold 95 percent of its charge"

I am finding the amount of time I'm getting with the S8's battery is fantastic, I would be really dissapointed if I only got 7 1/2 hours of SOT, I really would and I more often than that get even more than that.... I play games the lot....
I am perhaps easily pleased but 7 1/2 and more of SOT in a single day to above what I expected.
Ok, what phone with the equivalent specs of the S8 Plus would you recommend that will give you the battery life you are looking for?

The phone isn't bad but the battery sucks. The 3300Mah battery of my J7 Prime is far better than the 3500Mah of my S8+. I used both phones doing the same work for the same amount of time and the battery of the S8+ drained way faster. Both cell phones were used at 50% display light. I did not use either phone at 100% display. Makes me wonder how fast the S8+ battery would have drained had i used it at full display power. Yes, battery of the S8+ is indeed very disappointing!!
Btw, my friend bought a S8, he is facing the same issue. Samsung seriously needs to up their game instead of taking their customers for granted.

I have found thast this and the regular s8 have been a masterpiece of phone technology, idk why ppl are complaionign so much about the phones charging issues, most say when they use the phone while charging the batery doesnt go up.......ofc it doesnt go up. why would it go up when you are using it while it charges, in fact you are damaging the phone when you do this. so overall the phone is great, haters gonna hate.

salvadore, 25 Jul 2017I already use comparison tool, but i am a detail person so i... moreThank you for getting back to me, its a shame that you haven't found the ideal phone you are looking for and I don't want to get all fan boy on you and start defending the S8 Plus as if I was personally insulted, picking a phone is an individual choice and what suits one person may not suit another.
I'm not the ideal person to ask, like many people I have limited amount of real hands on experience with each flagship model to give you a fair and balanced recommendation.
The review section on this web site is a good starting place and they do a good few comparisons and match phones against each other. Then there are the obvious places such as you tube and so on, but I'm sure you are aware of them.
Whilst you were in the shop looking at the S8 Plus did you ask to look at any of the other phones on the market and get a feel for them, because that's a good way of perhaps narrowing down your search.
This is only my opinion and there are great people about on these forums and other that will try and put their biased views aside and give you some really constructive advise, personally I would go to a more general mobile forum rather than a specific mobile phones forum to get a wider variety of views and beware of the fan boy's out there, they will say there phone is the greatest regardless.
If I'm completely honest I thought you were one of those and please don't take offence, just thought you were saying your phone isn't any good I'm finding another brand and could any S8 Plus owners tell me what other manufacturers flag ship model should I pick above yours. It's just you tend to see that kind of thing many many times and gets a bit boring after a while, its like being back at school.
I really wish you well in your search, and would be great to hear from you when you finally get your hands on the phone that you have been looking for.
Until then I will say take care and good luck :)

On this website they have helpfully made some comparisons.
Here's an example

Well worth browsing around until someone more knowledgeable than me comes along to help :)

Have you tried the comparison tool here? You may find that useful

Just tried the s8+ at the local shop and ui appears somewhat sluggish. The salesman said it was just put out this morning, so either it has a bad ui or its a fault. Anyway, the huge curve screen make the phone very fragile and prone to break easily, so I will choose another brand. Anyone recommend another flagship model ? Plus I want good camera front and back, great stabllisation, good low light photography and advance and fast autofocus system , as my shots are done quickly on the spot at work.

wildanun, 24 Jul 2017..an electronic devices has dis 1 yr...warranty dear..bring... moreHi,
I'm not saying that it is acceptable that I got the message 'Moisture in the port' even though my S8 Plus was completely dry. It was very annoying and as I said I tried everything to attempt to dry out the already dry port and the 'moisture message' would not go away.
It was only when I went online that I discovered the fix, this would indicate it is more than likely a software issue and replacing the phone would not get rid of the issue. I'm not any tech guru, but I would of thought that would have to be sorted out by a software update, well that is what I initially thought until I saw your message and to be honest I'm kind of thinking you are right even as i wriite this post. .........
.......Yeah you are right!!!! i actually started writing this message thinking your suggestion was OTT loll and jave just changed my mind right now as i type these words) I should at least contact samsung to clarify this and make them aware of the issue if they don't know already. Just in case it is a hardware issue.
I got the message (Moisture) shortly after using the phone to record video with hdr enabled ? so I don't know if there is a connection there.
It's a 2 year warranty I have (uk) just out of interest does that vary from country to country... do you know?
Take care and peace to you, thanks

Ankush, 23 Jul 2017Pathetic phone & pathetic service of Samsung, phone star... moreI had the same issue with my phone (Moisture detected) even though the phone was not anywhere near water, steam etc
I tried everything to get rid of the message, tried paper towels, hairdryer..... EVERYTHING!!! I still got this message, it would not go away and hour after hour went past but still got the message.
I looked online to see if anyone had experienced the same problem and to my surprise I found many people had!! The fix is as follows if you have this error.
1) Plug charger into the phone (it will say moisture detected) that's ok.
2) restart phone (keep charger plugged in as you restart the phone)
3) The moisture detected message should now be solved!! and you should now be good to go :)
