Hi have used and returned the fone for following reasons:
1) Very impractical design. Very long phone with less width. Slips through hands. Both sides of curved display get touched accidently while using the phone. Typing is difficult due to less width.
2) Otherwise hardware configuration is good but design is flop after my experience.

AnonD-680807, 29 Jun 2017I have a S7Edge and I was planning to change it to the new ... moreI do have some sympathy for what you are saying, I do and it would be such a shame if this is a deal breaker for you, this is such a fantastic phone, not just a fantastic looking phone but it sure runs like a dream ( ok, I know dreams can't run, but you get what I'm saying, yeah) the battery life is great, and it handles anything I throw at it (games etc) without even breaking into a sweat.
Ok, I'm going to say something really controversial!!!! ........wait for it!!!!..........Ok, here goes....
....I actually LOVE the position of the fingerprint sensor, I use a folio case and I can unlock and open the case at the same time effortlessly, I would actually not mind in the slightest if they kept it there on future models........ok, I go bye

Or...do you ever use your phone when driving? How many people do you think use a phone while driving? If Samsung wants to go into the safety business they should invent a devive that automatically shuts down when driving (not sure how). If they would, would you buy one?

Also nowadays the price drop is not the reflection of how well or how worst a phone has been sold. It is a marketing gimmick. Be it LG or Samsung. They do this to accomodate their upcoming phones. For e.g. Note8 or Note 7FE for samsung & LG G6+ for LG.

It was a last minute decision by Samsung (For some reason they could not place it below the camera). Having said that, they knew it was not an ideal place for FingScan, hence they added couple more security options i.e. Iris Scanner & Face Recognition.
While it will be difficult for you to use any of the above method while driving, Samsung has also designed a new feature where you can add trusted places like car, your home etc which will trigger the phone to auto-unlock (Bypassing whatever lock mechanism u have). Trusted place, Your voice, etx can be setup to bypass unlocking.
To be honest, ditching S8 just coz you cannot use fingerprint scanner while driving is not worth. I own one and have no issues whatsoever.
If it is still a big deal for you, i would recommend LG G6 as an alternative. It is another amazing flagship phone for 550$. You will get most of the things that is in S8.

I have a S7Edge and I was planning to change it to the new S8 or S8+ BUT...how am I suppose to use fingerprint when driving with my phone attached to the car holder mount? Congratulations, Samsung. You just gave up a consistent part of your customers with the most idiotic idea ever. I'll just have to start looking for another option and I don't like the IPhone at all. Any ideas?
