It was supposed to be announced on early February. The design back then was to put embedded fingerprint in front but it wasnt ready thus relocated to the back. Releasing the S8 with unreliably inaccurate embedded fingerprint sensor is worst than relocating it. The awkward positioning is unavoidable. Just below the camera is actually where the battery is so, they cant put it there. What used to be heart rate monitor position is now the fingerprint sensor. It have to go somewhere. If they were to rearrange all the component again just to put the fingerprint sensor at the bottom of camera the S8 released date would be pushed all the way to June. Synaptics is the one to blame here for being unable to manufactured a working embedded fingerprint sensor in time.

Maple gold looks like gold and orchid gray kinda looks like a more purplish rose gold. But no matter which you choose it all look the same on the front which is black. The midnight black is a perfect choice if you want to have something that doesnt go out of style too soon. The arctic silver looks neutral too. The rest of the color looks flashy too me.

        Samsung is rushing too much to design this s8 series. What an awkward place for the finger scanner! I mean, they have so much space to put it at the back and why on earth they chose the spot right next to to camera lense???? I wanted to buy s8, but after looking at the finger scanning position, I have a second thought. I might just get Galaxy Gear S3 frontier LTE instead. I am still very happy with my S7 edge.

          The orchid gray is not pink enough, the artic silver is not white enough.
          The midnight black, artic silver, and orchid gray all look the same, i'll wait for Coral Blue

You could get the S8 for $720 from Verizon. Gear VR headset and motion controller should be bundled by most carriers and stores. Verizon will give you the Experience Box for $99 - in addition to the Gear VR you're getting anyway (+ controller), you also get Harman Kardon headphones and a 256GB microSD card. If you want the Dex you can get that free from T-Mobile. $720 for 64gb S8 sound like a bad deal? I dont think so. Iphone 7 32gb is priced at $650.

            As for SD835, its not just an overclocked SD820. The GPU is new too using Adreno540. It is made using 10nm process which should do better in battery efficiency. SD835 features a modem that supports X16 LTE speeds, which equates to an absolute maximum 1-gigabit 4G connection. It supports Bluetooth 5.0, the faster, more reliable and longer-range wireless standard that have two bandwidth to connect two bluetooth devices with over 120ft range, an upgrade from bluetooth 4.2 30ft range. The 6gb ram 128gb storage model is available too but only for S8+ model which price at $1030. You can import it from China or Korea. Unlocked version in US is available starting May 9th.

              lol,I've got the s7 and I don't expect samsung over do it in terms of pricing. s7 edge before was only sold for 700 with free VR so it is around 620-650$. I dont also understand why this is taller but have only 3500mah,it is the same kryo cores found on the sd820 so single thread perfomance is the same, and just a slightly overclocked gpu. Anyway Its a no for this device. S7 edge still rocks.Mi 6 is also an interesting one. BTW RAM is a joke for 64bit architecture. Why it is only 4GB?they want you to pay more but basically they won't even make the ram 6gb. Another Disaster year for samsung I guess. They want this one to cover their losses on note 7

                I really hope they don't make 6gb ram something which is only available in a few regions, it's enough that it already costs $1350 here in Australia.. the S7 wasn't particularly great with memory management and going with 4gb again and no doubt more bloatware is just going to make things worse, I hope not and I could be wrong but it really seems like Sammy is shooting themselves in the foot, there's so many other manufacturers offering so much more for so much less, and before someone goes on about 6 gigs being unnecessary, you can't speak for everyone, and if the management is as bad as before, then it's probably going to be a great move adding the extra 2 gigs, but the fact of the matter is that you're paying a really premium price, so you should be getting a really premium product with the best specs available at the time of release, yes I know this isn't how things always work and a lot of people just pay for the name, primarily those who don't know a great deal about it or have some kind of brand worship.. I really like this phone and I've been watching out for it ever since the first technical drawings and cad images were shown, but as much as I like it, I'd rather paying $500 for the next ZUK phone or One Plus which will probably have 8 gigs ram and more storage for less money..

                  Its same ugly curved phone from s6 edge. Also this curves are useless and no case holds even pushing any screen protector out. And theses little upgrades from S7 make this phone Super Expensive.

                    It is not specs war instead PRICE WAR between Apple and Samsung now LG & HTC. super. On the whole customers are cheated in the Price War... Great.

                          Sometimes it doesn't matter how big the battery is if the performance isn't optimised. Case in point, the Galaxy C9 Pro has a 4000mAh battery and I've heard that it juices out fast.

You can move the fingerprint scanner to the front. All you need to do is scrap it off with a tool and glue it to the front. Hahaha. Just kidding. But I'm serious about the colors.

                                      Where are Pink Gold and White? Two things i don't like about this phone are colors and Fingerprint scanner's placement, the rest is perfect!
