Should I upgrade to the s8 if I have a note 4 or wait, or wait for note 8? Is the s8 plus worth the size increase over the s8.

AnonD-183089, 31 Mar 2017will upgrade my s7 edge to this oneYou should wait. There will be special edition added soon as always. New color, new storage option, themed-version, & etc. This usually appear around June to draw attention away from rival. And the price is drastically cheaper too making early buyers glaring in envy.

Conclusion ... if you have an S7 Edge at the moment, you do not need to go into stress to switch to S8 +, the difference in performance between the two will be minimal and, in my opinion, does not justify spending money

But, SD835 is only for US market.

Which phone should I choose, the Sony XZ Premium with that hot imager or the Samsung Glaxy S8+. Tough decision. The S8 screen im expecting it to be very good still lets wait and see what conclusion they come to. DX Mark didn't give the best overall score to Sony which surprised me. If the S8 screen is RGB then it's going to look so gorgeous. 28 days to go. It's painful waiting. lol

Only the models with the SD835 support GALILEO (the new European satellite navigation system). The 8895 only supports GPS, GLONASS and BeiDou.

Exchange of ownership is the easiest way to let the brand survive without dying for good. Same thing happened to Nokia, Motorola, Vaio, Vertu and some other. So, technically no company will ever die. It continue to survive under bigger brand and ownership.

Let's be "practical" - if you are an Android fan and you have the money to spend for top end device, you kind of have 2 options (both with top specs on all fronts for what it matters):
                                - Either go for best design / most beautiful phone, the one with most "bling effect", which is the Galaxy S8/S8+
                                - Or go Goolge all the way, for the one that should (in theory) blend better hardware & software, which is the Pixel
I see no reason to pick a Sony for it's 4k display or a Huawei for it's 6 GB ram - all this are completely irrelevant. But don't get me wrong, I see relevance when money matter.

I am fortunate enough to be from Europe and have an unlocked S7 edge (Exynos) and the money to spend on the new Galaxy iteration. I don't have bloatware on my phone and, although I'm a power user (mails, internet, news, pictures, movies and games), it easily lasts me over the day without charging, and I believe the S8(+) will behave similarly. I don't think I'll be more productive with the S8, but I'll surely feel better having it and enjoy more using it.

Sony in Japan is as big as Samsung in Korea and either one would not close shop so easily.
