I suggest you to buy S8+ if you still considered to upgrade your phone, value of money you can save it more than buy S9, there is no significantly change overall except the performance, also S8+ has a better speed network than original S8, battery capacity as well, don't worry about single camera, as long as Samsung still hold their Dual Pixel AF technology from previous S7

Anonymous, 30 Jun 2018I want to buy a phone what are your suggestions? If you want features, buy Samsung. U have more money, buy S9+. If u don't want to spend too much, buy S8+. They have better battery life than the smaller versions.
If you want updates, buy OnePlus 6.
U have money & want updates, wait for Pixel 3

Anonymous, 29 Jun 2018Any opinion what would be my next phone galaxy s8+ or iphon... moreOne of the first things to consider when changing from one operating system to another is how much have you invested in the platform E.g Apps, games, music etc and how would you feel about losing them really because that's what you are going to have to weigh up. How would you feel about losing those Apps, game etc?

I've invested many many hundreds of pounds over the years just on Apps, games, videos etc on the Android platform so It would hit me in the pocket quite dramatically if I was to switch over to IOS and buy them all again.

I can't knock Iphone BUT when you buy into Iphone and their eco system you really are at a disadvantage in my humble opinion and I genuinely don't say that as a fanboy, I say it because I feel that I have far far more flexibility and choice as I'm not just restricted to one manufacturer. I have numerous manufactures competing amongst themselves to try and entice me into buying their product, be it Samsung, Sony, Nokia, xiaomi, Motorol, I could go on and on.

When you are buying an apple phone, well they are leading a race that only they compete in. That's not to knock them, they are great at what they do, there is no doubt about it.

But hey, I can pick n choose to my hearts content on the Android operating system and all that investment in games, apps, videos etc is flawlessly still there for me no matter what phone I choose on android. I can choose budget, midrange, flagship from an array of manufacturers and many phones out there to suit my budget. I'm not a slave to one brand is what I'm saying.

The S8 Plus is without a doubt a fantastic phone, incredible and just don't take my word for it look at the the general opinion out there from the critics. I've been using the phone from launch and I can say hand on heart it's been a dream to use. Still blown away by it and it will take a great phone to come along before I switch to another and I have used many many phones, some for just a few months. I'm entirely happy with the S8 Plus and feel no rush to move on anytime soon.

I thoroughly recommend the S8 Plus, but hey it's not about me, it's all about you. Sorry if I've not given you a straight answer but it's all about personal preference but from a customer perspective having an option to pick and choose from a vast range of phones from many manufactures that are all competing against each other for my buck is far more healthy and put me more in control in my opinion.

Just remember as per the post from snowrider0985

"The option to fix red eye only appears if you are looking at a photo where the phone detects a person's eyes. For example a picture of a mountain does not have the option, a selfie does"
