Have had this phone about a year and love it, I use it for gaming a bit, some FB, emails, tracking weather. I adjust app perms so that they dont drain battery and it lasts me 2 days. I have no issues with this phone unlike one of its predecessors which I needed to buy a after market and larger battery.
The stock battery in this phone is fine, the short charging cable does suck as does the loss of IR so no more peel remote

I'm a cell phone addict. I use my phone for gaming, watching movies & serials. I spend hours & hours surfing through fb, youtube and all. Don't take too much selfies, but whenever I take I want the quality to be best. Which phone should I buy now? Not an Iphone. Thanks in advance.

PATHETIC PHONE,
Never think of buying S8 plus, it's waste of money, I brought this phone 7 months back and now started facing battery issue and heat up issue, if my battery is 100% at 10 am it will drain to 10% at 1pm with minimum of use, if m using net forb20 min phones will become like hot pan, after reporting this problem samsung is saying will repair the PHONE, there no point in spending huge amount in buying in this case, plz go for I PHONE, samsung S*****ks

After about a year OREO has started seedling, but will take end of this month before S9 launch to land. Its quite injustice, as One Plus One Chinese has already seeded in Dec 17. But S10 or X next year will be a Revolution with Android P!

You could have many power intensive apps running all at the same time for example and this could explain the many issues that you are having with the phone. I.E Lag, heating and battery drain etc.
Its impossible to tell from the limited info that you have given. Could be anything from a Hardware or software issues to a dodgy downloaded App.
I would take up the advise given by Scorpio personally.
