Have others on the same carrier/service provider received the update yet? I know that some in the US have only just received the update.

To stop apps from using data in the background, simply go to 'settings' followed by apps and then click on any app that you wish to stop from using data in the background.
Now click 'mobile data' and switch 'allow background data usage' to off
Done.

It just helps to clear background usage from certain apps which you haven't used from a long time(3days ~ 7days). You can set the no. of days according to your choice.

There are a myriad of Samsung apps but none of them tell you what they actually do. I am too concerned about upsetting my phones performance by accidentally disabling the wrong app. Any help here would be very welcome.

Use your hypnotic powers to put those pesky apps to sleep and stop them from running in the background.
Easy.
'Device Manager' followed by 'Battery' then click 'Always Sleeping Apps' now hit top left (3 dots) and choose 'add' to add those apps.

If you use 'Devise Security' contained within 'Device Maintainance' then make sure it's up to date before scanning.
Simply go to 'Device Security' in the normal way and click top right (three dots) and UPDATE before scanning.

I noticed that the sensitivity of the screen touch of my S8 is not as smart it should be. I used S4 in the past and the touch is smarter than S8. At times you have to press and repress b4 it clicks.
What could be the cause?

Frequent Network interruption observed on my new Samsung Galaxy S8, need to wait for some time get back to normal or the device has to reboot to make / receive calls, able to see the signal strength full during the network outage, is there anyone facing similar issues with S8?
