Can anyone please tell me why my S8 shows 'Private number' when someone called from overseas?
Can this be changed to display the overseas caller phone number ? or just the country name or international call?

So after I got opportunity to use this phone for like an hour or so, I was stunned. With time opportunity and need arised, and I found myself looking for a new phone. And I bought Samsung Galaxy S8 just few days ago and I am really really satisfied with it. Simply meets all my needs, even offers more.

Signal strength will be a major factor also if you tend to play graphically demanding games etc this will all determine how much time you will get.
Most people that I have seen online seem to get roughly 5 1/2 hours but this may be more or less. Sorry it's not a very clear answer but it does depend on many factors.
The S8 Plus will give you more S.O.T if that is an option for you but the S8's bigger sibling doesnt suit everyone.

Personally I would only buy from a reputable seller. If you are buying from a stranger and meeting them in a car park and who you will not be able to trace after the sale then BEWARE but im sure you know that anyway.
To be sure if you could take the phone to a service centre before buying then even better for piece of mind they will confirm its genuine for you but I appreciate you may not be able to do this.

AnonD-684111, 15 Nov 2017better take s8 it's a phone for normal hand user and there ... morewrong on so many levels. the spen and the dual camera are only the two most prominent differences but there are plenty of improvements for the note8 over the s8. hdr10 vs none, 6gb ram vs 4, up to 256gb rom vs only 64gb, better multitasking ability, dual app feature, live message, and an overall more productive user experience.
in terms of battery, check again. the note8 has marginally better battery life compared to the s8 and even the s8+. i get that it's your preference to have a phone that's easier to hold with one hand, but at least be objective and not spout bs.

First of all I'm not having a go at anyone that has had the misfortune of dropping their S8 or S8 Plus phone......I'm not.
But
What did you expect? I mean C'mon ....... you just have to hold the thing and you get a vibe that this phone could suffer damage if dropped without a case. ...... What did you expect?
Then, if you are going to be parting with many 100's of well earned $'s or £'s on an item that you will be using daily. Would you not do a bit of research before commiting? If you did do a bit of research, then what did that tell you as regards to durability?
If you are looking for a durable phone that you can drop without fear without a case then the S8 is NOT the phone for you...........
ahhh but STOP there is a solution!!!!
Buy a case!!! .. Simple!!.. buy a case!! ..Problem solved!! Putting a case on the phone doesn't mean that you can't take the case off on occasions if you wish to enjoy the phone as it was intended. No.

If you have come here to complain that your S8 or S8's screen has broken after dropping it ....... ..
Then,
Why are you NOT blaming the case? .....Yeah.., if you dropped your phone from what most would consider a fairly low height and your phone screen broke AND it was in a case... ...
Please explain :)
Why is your understandable anger/frustration/unhappiness or whatever.. not entirely aimed at the case?

I got this a month a go and I love it. Anything you like doing is going to run smoothly. After a month or so of using it you won't feel as lost

And even the dual camera in note 8 is blur and it does not look nice the s8 camera is better than note 8 and the battery life in note 8 is very bad with big screen and small battery mah and the note 8 is very costly. I have give my opinion at last its all depend on u.
