It should be under warranty. You should check out your options before posting complaints which may or may not be justified particularly if you have purchased a copy.

I think you may have been lucky as I also persev... moreHad the same predicament too about tempered glass but I just opted to use non-glass screen protector made specifically for the S8 and it's working fine - dropped my phone face down on concrete floor from about 3 feet and the protective cover did its job, although it got scratched a bit but the screen itself is perfectly fine, no scratch and it thankfully didn't break. I also bought a flip case for my S8 like you did for extra protection and where I can slip some cards for easy access.

Actually I have my Xperia XSs and a very classy phone with a great features. Samsung is a good phone specially the premium one. It’s a matter of choice bro!. Thank you.

S8 - is a piece of crap, not worth spending your money on it.
Red tinted screen, even more visible around the edges, approx 5 millimeter red/blue aura around the edges (default settings, software updates don't help). Battery life is poor. I don't see how this phone is "flagship" and better than Note 4 i had before.
For flagship phone samsung can't afford to sell phones that were assembled with poor quality s-amoled screen batches. poor decisions samsung, poor decisions!

There are reasons why Samsung is number one in Android phones. Samsung has built up its reputation for quality, fully featured phones with great warranty service. Other brands such as Sony have declined so far in numbers that you rarely see a Sony phone, plus Sony is now outside the top 10 of brands with sales and popularity.

You had a faulty phone. They fixed it.
What did they say as you handed the phone to them? What did you say as regards to the data? Did you sign anything?

They are getting ready to release in the Oct security update Android 7.1.1. I had an S7 and the same thing. Researched it and that is what I found.

But sudd... moreSamsung has the worst quality control and software optimization between all brands, Apple is completely otherwise but it has another story, the big misconception nowadays is that Android is considered as Samsung only in many places, this is very wrong, there is another Android brands which has excellent quality control and excellent cameras such as Google pixel, Sony Xperia, Oneplus, HTC, LG... I don't understand people who rush to buy a Samsung smartphone then they are more in rush to drop their massive complaints.

2 months back bought a new Samsung s8 for my wife. But suddenly the phone charge dried and went blank and was not switching ON. Tried all the solutions offered from various android website.
Then took the mobile to the Samsung care service center. There seems to be a problem in the board and without informing us they have change the board and all the data has gone. There was not even an apology from them.
Can some one suggest to whom we have to raise the complaint.
I was one among them who bought an note 7 and got it replaced. These kind of problems makes me think why to spend a fortune to buy Samsung. Instead we can go for iPhone.

I really like the look of S8. But I'm seeing other Android phones, from budget to premium, copying the style of S8.
Samsung must think of another clever and unique design for S9 IMO.
