By the way, I just had a look at a short video featuring the rhinoshild bumper (below) and I have to say I do like it. The guy in the video does a little drop test and I believe it can withstand drops up to 11 ft.

Is there any other case which covers just the back and not the front. I am that kind of a person who does not like to open the front part of the case to do any stuff with the phone. i hope you understand my requirement.

It's a quality, well made case that closes with a magnet. I have dropped the phone a number of times onto hard surfaces (concrete, tiled floor) with the case on and have suffered no damage whatsoever. The case works. I do take the case off when at home etc so that I can really enjoy the phone case free. It's such a stunning phone to handle. Everytime I take the case off the phone im like "WoW" even having the phone since launch, I am still in awe of the beauty and feel of it.

          I have also have dropped the phone before I had a case, and the phone did survive without any damage at all. I think the sensible approach is to get yourself a good quality case, when you are out and about at least, just for peace of mind because the truth is that I don't think that this phone could withstand many drops onto a hard surface before it got damaged, but then again there are not that many top of the range phones on the market that could!!!!

              Sure it took me a day or so to get used to it but I have found it even better than a sensor placed on the *FRONT* of the phone.

Before I bought the phone I was a bit worried about the position of the fingerprint scanner as many of the reviewers said that it was a negative but I have found it to be the complete opposite. Sure it took me a day or so to get used to it but I have found it even better than a sensor placed on the back of the phone.

                  I use a case with the phone when I'm out and about (otterbox strada) and this makes unlocking the phone effortless. I can have the phone unlocked in an instant, even quicker than I could with the S6 edge for example.

                  I can only speak from my experience and for me the position of the fingerprint scanner has been blown out of all proportion, it is not as bad as some one have you believe. It's very hard to find any real serious negatives about this phone and I genuinely believe that many of the reviewers out there when the phone was first launched found it very easy to zone in on the finger print scanner as this Big negative. The truth is it is not!!

                  The other thing worth pointing out is that the phone allows you to unlock the phone in many ways, PIN, iris scanner, voice (bixby) fingerprint (iPhone x doesn't even have this ability) ....

                  I would say to anyone, before making judgement please give it a real try before jumping to any conclusions, yeah it may take a bit of time to adjust .... but its worth it in my opinion...and like me you may say "hey, this works" .......but hey, each to their own:)

                    So finally after a lot of confusion between lg g6, v30 and s8, I have bought this beautiful s8. Its great so far.
                    I just have one question regarding the case. Which case do u guys have on ur s8. I have seen many videos of rhinoshield bumpercase. But what else are good options for s8. I hav been using the phone without any case for 4-5 days and m really apprehensive about it falling down.
                    So quick reply would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

                      Who still use the finger scanner to unlock the phone? I think putting it in the back makes it useless.

                        i just updated my phone and every 3,4mins it says bixby voice stopped!!
                        does anyone have the same problem?!

                            Since getting it last month I'm really glad I did because it's a "tumeke" phone and also because I've never had a flash one only just budget ones lol. The only downside is having to charge phone nearly every day which is a bit of a "hoha" but the upside it doesn't take long either so yup I'm happy with this baby yeeyah.

                                  I've had my S8 since its launch in April of this year and I'm still impressed with how flawlessly it works. I'm usually pretty clumsy with my phones and I've managed to keep it in mint condition despite a few minor drops. I'd recommend this phone to anyone provided they are not dead set on having a stock Android OS.

                                  There's been a lot of reasonable complaints about the fingerprint sensor, personally I haven't ever had a problem with it. It only took me a day to get a real sense of the placement, so I don't smudge the camera trying to find it. One of my only gripes is the battery. I'm a heavy user so I can't get it to last a full day for me, but I get that Samsung had to take it easy after the Note 7. It makes up for it by charging extremely quickly.

                                  All the new phones coming out (even the Note 8) haven't really swayed me too much. I'm really happy with my regular sized Galaxy S8 and expect to get a full 2 years out of it before my next upgrade. Highly recommended. :)
