[deleted post]Why bother!!! if you don't like the device that's fine. I do along with many others. As for the battery I don't want a phone that has this amount of power only to reduce the functions and performance to save battery. As proven on many YouTube videos and reviews this phone lasts longer that the majority of devices available from 2017. Why buy a phone only to reduce its performance because of the battery when it's not that bad? Isn't that why the devices all have fast charge now!!!!!

I have le... moreAs to the comments I have read on the battery life I can get about 2 1/2 days use out of my s8 just normal use and stand by time there is a feature in settings you can set to help you save battery usage from programs running in the background. There is numerous you tube videos explaining these features it helps to research and learn how to use the phone instead of just assuming you can. The wifi I never had one issue with it disconnecting again check your power settings. I think the phone works flawlessly I have had not one even small complaint about it so some of the comments you read on here are just to hastily written this is a very good phone I will continue to use it or I would have never paid such a high price for it to begin with..

What I do is THIS.
I have leather wallet case for mine. Which holds my bank cards, drivers license and room for cash. At home I pop it out and use without case. When I go shopping I pop it in the case and its protected.
That is my solution and works well. I am NOT out to show off my phone to other people.

Ok i upgraded from the s7 edge plus that i loved or i did untill the software update that took all the good stuff and replaced it with basic rubbish. Anyway i got the s8 plus and im not impressed it looks, well rather plain, the finger print scanner works to well i scanned fingers on both hands but when i put my hand in my pocket i touched the scanner and it unloicked unknown to me it would ring ppl and txt them. The s health is rubbish hart rate, sp02 and stress monitor only work on the odd occasions this is frustrating, i synced my new s3 classic to my phone and i have to say its disappointing to say the least sleep tracker is inconsistent. My honest opinion is the s8 is a big let down for samsung a bacward step

I have 3 bought one to just use as an alarm clock beside the bed (it's in a case with a stand, looks so cool and really suits my decor)... and one I put in the kitchen, just love the look of them and they make for really classy looking clocks (the timer is real handy in the kitchen)
The other one, well I bought the S8 Plus I use that one, and I don't get 2 days out of that.

Also given the fact that it's glass and you're going to slide your finger back and forth, up and down, left to right everyday for the next 2 years or so, you oughta put some protection over it as it's going to leave some mark if you don't and a scratched display takes away the look ans fell of the phone.
Of course you speak a lot of sense just wish there was something they could do so that we had the Wow factor look and feel combined with durability. There is no doubt the phone has many pull factors e.g The screen is incredible, the specs are top notch and the phone (I'm using S8 Plus) battery life is way beyond what I expected.
But
I just love the look of the phone, the feel of it .... call me whatever but that was also a BIG selling point, and I can't be the only one.
Just seems a shame to cover it up, to hide it's beauty, and people might say "well don't cover it up then" and I could choose that option, but the truth is it couldn't handle every day use without being over protective. In my opinion of course.
After saying all that, I don't regret buying the phone, not one little bit..NO WAY...and each and every time on the odd occasion I take m S8 Plus from the case..... I'm like "WoW" .... just "WoW ...
