Galaxy S8 (G950U) has WiFi issues.

A week ago I got a brand new S8 (unlocked US version G950U). It keeps disconnecting from WiFi and eventually reconnecting. This happens on my Orbi as well as on the WiFi AP at work. No other devices have trouble on these access points. Looking at forums I'm not the only one with this problem. That makes the phone pretty much unusable. Samsung needs to address this!

Otherwise the phone is excellent, especially the camera and screen. Very responsive. Lies nicely in the hand. Easy wireless charging.

I've had it for 1 month now, after an S6 Edge 64Gb. Phone is great, you can add a memory card, screen is marvellous, camera is fantastic especially at night, and battery lasts a whole day at the minimum. Very slippery in hand, but I never use any case or screen protector, only a slim pouch. Very loud too. So a great buy, but don't see any major improvement over my previous S6 Edge, except getting a new toy to play with...I miss a real home button though. Can't see how S9 could improve and be better than this S8.

Dirk, 11 Aug 2017To all the people complaining about glass and breakable. ... moreBut, this to me makes no sense really, it just seems like a step back in many ways..... like we haven't progressed.

They design and we buy these fantastic looking phones .like works of art...that feel great in the hand..... then we cover them up!!!

                Is this not madness?

To all the people complaining about glass and breakable. Every Samsung phone I have had from S1 to S8 , I put a case on it. I have a wallet case for S8 . Never a problem and every phone I have had was easy to sell because it looked like brand new. one of the best cases for the S8 is the Spigen Neo Hyrid. Look it up at Spigen web site.

AnonD-479544, 11 Aug 20173000MAh battery? Seriously???? It won't even last a day It depends what you are doing with your phone. Just saying you are unhappy with the battery not lasting a day doesn't mean that the battery life is less superior than any other phone on the market with the same specs and selling points. Does it?

Is there any phone out there, that you will ever be fully happy with?

It was a reply from my comment that only a case can stop a screen from cracking when dropped, then someone commented have I ever hear of a tempered glass protector. I then responded with my comment. The glass hat comment was an exaggeration on how glass is not durable enough to protect from an impact as well as a case. If your not able to understand that then perhaps get an adult to explain it to you ok.

BATMAN, 11 Aug 2017I'd rather wait for the Iphone 8Depends on whether you're an Android or iOS fan. And i think most Android would stick to it no matter how good iPhone gets and vice versa. iPhone has the advantage when it comes to security and stuff while Android has advantage for it's customisation and free apps

Also given the fact that it's glass and you're going to slide your finger back and forth, up and down, left to right everyday for the next 2 years or so, you oughta put some protection over it as it's going to leave some mark if you don't and a scratched display takes away the look ans fell of the phone.
