Anonymous, 09 Jun 2017Is it the S8 fingerprint a place to press. Is it really har... morethe first days were really awkward since 90% of the time I am pressing the camera instead of the fp reader but i guess with time and usage you'll get used to it. now my right hand always aims at the farthest left so i wont be touching the camera anymore. also, its a bit more advantageous for left-handed people. while im at office, i place my phone on the left side of my desk and its easier unlocking it using the left hand. hope this helps. :D

i have s8 exynos version for a weak. i will post the cons and the goods

      goods:
screen is excelent (as spected, no red tint problem , its big screen small body)
internal memory (64gb its ok for the price)
software(samsung in this point improve alots sisnce s7 much more smooth, more intuitive)
      desing.
general speed of the system, some people complaint about memory but 4gb its ok for the next 2 year i think son with alots apps open i allways have 1-1-5gb memory free

      cons:
baterry its good with hard usage, but bad with light usage (the CPU its very agresive allways turn on the 8 cores) but its ok for a day...

camera its better from s7 but no big improvement (i think its hard improve from s7 with actual tecnology)

iris scaner its no really usable. fingerprint really bad potition , face unlock its the most natural way to unlock the phone

Shame. Why doesn't the high end flagship phones have FM radio? It's not just Samsung.

The mid-range and budget phones usually have FM radio. It doesn't cost much, and it's very valuable feature to have especially when you don't have access to data. Might even save your life during emergency times.

Enough with this arrogant elitist attitude towards FM radio already! Streaming music isn't a valid option all the time.

No infrared..., 08 Jun 2017Will not see my money. It should have brought the IR blaste... moreFew phones have ir blasters because many users don't use them because they don't work for their brand of tv, cable/set top boxes/ and other appliances. Had these users only downloaded an app called 'Anymote' from google playstore which has the best brand selection compatibility available, then they would have had a master remote controller for almost all their appliances. It turns out most users only rely on the built-in remote controller app that comes with their phone which is brand limited and has horrible functionality and customizability/cloud back up options. The end result is that the 'ir blaster' feature is seen as pure gimmickry/useless by most when it really is an indispensable tool when you download the correct app and properly configure it to run as your master controller everywhere you go.

The only brands which still have ir blaster in some of their newer and even latest smartphone releases are LG, Huawei and Xiaomi. Many of these smartphones also still have FM radio so if you prefer local news and entertainment broadcast in your local language/dialect with no data charges, then these brands also have them (though not in all their smartphone lines).

You are so correct about being able to find out things about your Galaxy flagships whether old or new. My S5 is still surprising me with new things I never thought possible and I now realise how many sensors are in it. The S5 is truly a masterpiece and I honestly don't feel the need to change it because quite honestly, everything released after seems like a downgrade.

Anonymous, 11 Jun 2017This phone overheat? Like s7? Absolutely NOT! I can genuinely hand on heart say that it does NOT...... it Would be Breaking News on the TV if the S8 got just a little bit warm :)

The phone flies like a dream (Ok, dreams can't fly.....I know) Mind you so it should for it's price tag (I feel a Jessie J song coming on) ......... but the high price tag does indeed disappear into insignificance really when you experience the sheer beauty and power combined with elogence, class and quality that IS the fantastic Samsung S8 Plus.

The phone has to be held to be believed all shiny and new. Biggest surprise has been the amount of On Screen Time I'm getting..... very pleased. What a bit of kit! Seriously!

Many of the reviews and critics made a bit of a fuss of the fingerprint scanners position but a couple of days after using the phone I don't even think about it.

I'm using a case (otterbox strada) it works really well with it as I can unlock the phone before or as I'm opening the case, so easy.

According to description it is not clear which model supports which LTE bands. So it would be nice if you will write supported LTE bands for EACH model.

Ok, I hear from a lot of people that Samsung puts apps/features in their devices which are not worthy enough or in a word, gimmicks. Lemme give some examples why I chose the S8 over many other flagships in the market.
                                      1. Almost all the flagships have AOD. But how many of them don't waste the battery when your phone is inside your pocket or faced down? S8 don't display it when it senses it's inside the pocket.
                                      2. Curved screen has edges and Samsung put edge screen there. Those who never used it will not understand the useability. I don't go inside app menu now a days. It's easy, it's unique and makes people jealous.
                                      3. Samsung is the only manufacturer who provides security like Knox (Secured Folder). You can have your office and home separated now.
                                      4. Most of you guys may say heartrate sensor is a gimmick. But since my Note4, I became more active as I could see my steps and heartrate and that inspired me to workout more.
                                      5. Most of the people always complain about Samsung putting same app twice. But to tell you the truth, I love Samsung Gallery more than Google Photo and it gives me options to edit and do more without another app. Same with the music player and other clone apps. Samsung apps seem to run smoothly on Galaxy devices (the same reason iPhone runs smooth with it's native apps).
                                      6. Samsung always innovates with their things. Yes, it's true that the first time it seems waste, but over the years I find them improving and improvising. Look at edge screen for example. It was nothing when.launched. Now it has definite ease of use. Bixby is waste of space now. But I can assure you it will be amazing in the future. I'll write on Bixby sometime, if I get some time.
I'm not saying other manufacturers are worse. It's just Samsung flagships are worth giving a shot against other flagships. And when you have it, it grows into you. I have used other flagship devices, but after a while it loses it's charms. I don't feel that in Galaxy flagships. Don't even think of buying Samsung midrange devices - they are crap. But with flagship devices (new or old) you will sure discover new things every day.
                                      Take care. Ciao...
