I have an s8 and have absolutely no issues .. even have 24 games downloaded onto it and still runs fast. No battery issues and all works fine .. so I have no bad comments to add here..

Yes, I see it. It's the old battery and most likely the Exynos chipsets which is already running hot. Replace the battery and put a thick layer of actual thermal paste on the SoC and memory chips while you are at it. Normally you would want a thin layer but there is no mounting pressure in the phone so you effectively make it as thick as a thermal pad.

my friend's s8 has started a weird problem, it heats up even when mobile is powered off. he has tried draining battery completely and then recharged it again, it has the same issue of heating and draining battery.
he has no water damage!! could it be bad battery or board problem?

Ebizza, 29 Mar 2020Hi everyone. I want to get a new phone. (tired of htc one m... moreXiaomi is pretty janky and has issues with bluetooth, wifi, auto brightness and notifications. I have the standard Redmi Note 8 and had to revert back to the Galaxy S8 for those reasons.
The S8 has low battery life (I replaced the battery, not referring to a degraded one) but everything works as it should. Unfortunately it will only receive one more year of security updates and no Android 10.
