I dont know why SAMSUNG considers NOKIA ASHA its competitor.
They now only released [april2013] their GALAXY Y PLUS with 850 MHz phone with a cost price of Rs 6300.00
Within a launch one month another similar phone with 1GHz spped for Rs 5200/-
Will not your customers feel cheated ???

it is the best fone in 5k, i took on yesterday, best exprnce of data net on opera mini it gives as 3g speed during only browsing coz it runs by 1ghz proscr

Anybody please post Benchmarks of this mobile. . .I really concern about the Brand of Chipset & Processor used in it. . .Can we use Google maps for navigation through mobile network,of course without GPS???

Hey frnds I don't think it is an "ideal device"...
No 3g connectivity, low ram, I think the processor is also single core...
Galaxy Y is far much better than this...

best phone in low budget.. because if you want each and every latest functions in low budgeted phone than its not possible. so you have to leave 01 or 02 features of the phone. this is awesome phone for middle range phone users..

A biggest catch here is they have not mentioned the class of EDGE. If it is not a EDGE-12 then browsing speed is too low. Beware!

This is seems to be best in that range. 3G is missing but tell me how many people use 3g even in high end phone. and if you are buying 5k phone we shold expect 2g is fine for basic connectivity.
Don't compare it with 4-5 times multiple priced phones. This is best budget phone.

friends its only 2g network support mobile. so it not ment for high end coustmers, so fell free and take all samsung high end models. this is the fone only for the coustmers who have drem to use anroid below 5k for them it suits ok its india not foriegn we have only low profile coustmers who think for disconts alweays so it suit for them ................................................................................................

I think its not good for user. If samsung gives so many features in galaxy star in low price range.. So how it will be gave more satisfication to other high budget customer. Like s duos user. Ace duos user. Rex 90. Its means it will be beat on own samsung product. Very truely there have no comparison with nokia becoz nokia does not have any android phone....

It has 512mb ram and 1ghz processor and jb os. Then fame too has the same ,it manages with these specs know, so star too runs in a good way.once observe performance of fame and decide
