It supports usb otg. Tested also with 3tb portable hardrive without any external power it handles without any issues, just have to format the drive into exfat.

Well, I've this handed and tested at the Samsung store. I must say this is meeting more than my expectation and satisfaction. You'd definitely love it! From the design, speaker loudness, performance, the screen resolution and size.
It doesn't make you feel big.
I'd choose this compare to the Tab S 2 8.4 or 9,7.
And be frank, I didn't even have the strong feeling to buy when the Tab S 2 launched but the Tab A 2016, yes!

This is relatively low spec, but the most annoying thing is that there is no 8.0 inch version.
So, apparently Samsung has abandoned S-Pen for the 8-inch market, assuming that everybody wants to carry a large 10-inch tablet.

Does tab a 10.1 has heating issue. As a review in a site mention it reached 43 degree on there test. And that was the only main cons on that review. Please any users clarify this.

I have it,since 20octobar.very very good tab,i have many models,tab p7500,tab p5100,note n8000,tab t310,tab s 8.4,note 2014,lenovo a2 10-30 2gb ram lte,asus....
For me,the most important is battery and gaming performance,and for that this tab t585 is f...ng good,excellent...
Battery last over 9h for intensive using,brightn set to 65%,always on lte,i watch videos youtube 4h,my kids play games asphalt 8,hitman sniper,rodeo stampede over 4h,surf on net over 2h,and after all of that ,bat is on 35%.
On tab s 8.4and many oders models incl lenovo,asus..that is mission inposiblle...
Everything is perfect,every game has no lags,dead space is ok,good graphic.
I sold my tab s 8.4 for 200eur,and buy t585 for 150eur,and its the best move for me in the area of tablets,i mean tab s 8.4 is excellent better lcd colors,stronger,but...there is no thing that tab a 6 t585 cant do,and tab s can,and like i said bat on tab t585 last for min 9h,and on other tabs in the same option of using can last for 4-5-6h max

My dearest.P585 with the S pen and 32 megabytes internal memory according the specifications(and my own research)is the highest tablet that uncle Samsung has made up to now!!With the affordable price of $200+for the 16 megabytes internal memory and $300+for the P585,this tablet is the best choice of hard earning class,especially the researching students!!I myself intend to put it into my Grand Virtual Dream Musiem!!!Freedom of choice!Justice Rights.
