I have the Tab s2 9.7 running 7.0 nougat. its an excellent tablet and I have had no issues whatsoever. Same resolution as the s3. I don't care about an spen on a tablet. The S4 is now released and they want $700. I would just get the S3 or even the s2. wait a year and that price will drop for the s4. I never buy anything when new. I always wait so they work out any bugs and you get the latest OS and firmware.
AS far as performance issues. You have to tweak your settings to get the best performance possible. that goes for any android device. If you don't know how, watch some youtube videos. You will notice a big difference in speed.
I do love the s2 9.7 mine works smoothly and fast. Ill wait until the price of the s4 goes down.

Also has better screen for movie consumption but if you're into gaming stick to iPad. It has better app support and the apps are more optimized than Android Tablet. My only issue with this tablet is that it only has 32 gb internal storage although there's an SD card expansion you cant move apps on the SD Card unlike in Marshmallow.

And because tablets are bigger with bigger resource handle, 820 keeps throttling down.

Hi!
I'm between getting this and iPad 9.7 2018 but I'm having difficulty deciding.
Up until now I've been using iPad 4 so I don't have much experience with Samsung tablets.
Any insight and opinions would be really helpful.
It's for entertainement purposes mostly,and reading/studying.

The speed is very good and the s pen comes with fantastic feature ...I love it
The only issue is that the stylus cannot be inserted inside the tab

Samsung must add more battery MAH like ipad 8800 mah or 20,000 MAH
they can do it, and they must solve the styles pen same like Note 8 to be inserted inside Tab, and to make it more strong enouph so that it will not get broken from falling down and the edge or styles pen must be strong enouph same like ipad styles pen and more sensitive better than ipad styles pen.
you must give business men, students and painters easy use and give them more programs. give them good price or half price of ipad.

Even after I updated it to Oreo and did a complete wipe, I noticed when I play mobile legends even at lowest graphic settings I get stutters every now and then. Take note, I only had mobile legends and clash of clans installed. No other apps except the system apps. Very bad for gaming. Though watching videos is a kinda good experience

A very better tablet from Samsung but why without NFC , IR ,and radio +rds !!!!?One of the Note previous Samsung had 8000 + mAh battery ! I have to add that its nowadays price is more than $ 1000 somewhere which is unaffordable for the absolute majority !!! I don't knowwhat to say just tthanks....

But it's worth the update. It became faster and better battery time because there is less bloatware. There's a lot of unnecessary apps removed after the update
