DeX is basically the same, only losing the mini calendar and the search button (but the performance in the version with 4 GB of RAM is not good).
Only specific features like Continuity Mode and Second Screen are not available.
It will only be a problem if security patches are important to you.

I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e and can not find the SD card slot where it is
supposed to be. There is a pin hole there, BUT no slot, it is completely smooth
to the right and left of the pin hole. Is this a defect or did some Tab S5e come
without an SD card slot?

in my opinion the samsung s5e is a good all round tablet had it 4 years and not one problem with it

Samsung claims that OneUI 3.1 offers the feature Second Screen (use the tablet as a cast receiver). Can anyone please check if the latest update for the S5e has this?
I'm considering getting an S5e to use as a second display because of its nice portable package. Thanks!

Used it pretty heavy and now, after 2,5 years, battery is really bad. Still suprised to see it detoriated to as much as 50%. Not really Samsung quality.

Still rocking this tab since smth 2020🥰. It's the best for media/light games and the Snapdragon 670 has more power than it'd have in a phone. That AMOLED is still good even tho it's worse than Tab S9's one. The Quad speakers you can still see on the S9. So sad that Samsung turned into a spoiled brat and refuses to make big changes on the newer devices. Same for the 13MP cam💀. Atleast S9's screen is Dynamik AMOLED 2X and 120Hz. And sad that Samsung only gave 2 yrs of software updates. It really could handle OneUI 5.1.1

The 670 qualcom pretty much keeps you away from stuff that needs more ram. I went from s2 to s5e and its better in all aspects. I bought an unused one 2nd hand for 140€ and well happy with it.

Four years old now, and still responsive and stylish. At this price point, you won't find anything else that's this slim, with a gunmetal body that provides a premium level of quality. Yes, the Android version only goes up to 11, but it's still silky smooth.

If you don't care about Samsung support it gets regular updates via Lineage OS. So in my humble opinion it still has a great value :)

This is the best tablet any one could expect for daily use . Basic games I.e. if u have only one large game or 4 small games it runs smoothly as butter no buffer issue. Battery backup and life is outstanding eg:- u can watch videos upto 12hrs continuously from 100% Charge. In sunlight photo is ok👍 I don't use tablet for photo or video so fine by me . Mostly I watch and stream videos. Look of this is so cool. Samsung made a very good tablet in a reasonable price. Samsung tablets are best 💫

Bought this second hand. I like it thin, nice speakers, my screen somehow has shades at its darkest but its okay.
But yes the screen did fall off, initially I thought this was because I used a clamp so I can watch movie at night in bed, but seems others also face same issue. What I did instead of reglue is buying a cover all case, such as unicorn beetle.
Performance issue is also there, not sure whats the culprit but lots of activities shows refresh icon for a while which I never see in my phone, this makes me reconsider on buying another newer android tablet.
Overall I recommend this if you can get at bargain price if you just want a tablet for watching movie or playing music, definitely not for gaming.

Well four years is pretty impressive since I literally use this every day as a TV and everything else

As some say, screen is not well glued, I love it, in fact I have 3 at home for the family, and all three have to be reglued, it separates easily from the frame with no effort. Apart from that, one os the three is strangely slow. I tried even reflashing system with Odin with no luck. Apart from that the screen es a marvel, and the 4 speakers sound truly amazing. Even today, 4 years after launch, I would look for one, as far as I know the only OLED with 4 speakers newer are much more expensive s6-7-8. For just watching content anywhere (I have done it even on the beach, seriously) the best.
