I have an S2, still going strong but it has some issues, like the display won't light up,it always gets going in the end. Incredible machine and Super Amoled display, well ahead of its time. Now I've been eyeing the S5e which in terms of display quality and weight and also display ratio resembles the S2 the most. However, only two gigs or RAM and no support is probably a dealbreaker. But what else to get?

Anonymous, 19 Oct 2022Ah another device that would be useful for my needs, but ON... moreBut you don't need an audio jack built into your device, which limited how thin the tablet could get, which is why it was eliminated; that and the fact that uou can get an adapter that will allow you to charge and connect your wired headphones. A little bulkier on the headphone side, sure it is, but the real estate inside the tablet is far more important, especially since if you are wanting wired headphones, you aren't worried about portability.

Runs really well still. Great tablet in 2019. Good job Samsung! Probably have to replace the battery soon though.

Ah another device that would be useful for my needs, but ONE problem: the idiots who designed it think if they force the 3.5mm jack to be obsolete, that will magically change the laws of physics, and reality. Gaslighting gets hard these days, and paying $lots for the privilege of being lied-to gets old. Fast. Saying the pathetic built-in speakers were tuned by AKG is like saying your go-kart engine was tuned by McClaren F1. So what? It's still not up to the job of transporting any weight or at any speed! It isn't to the minimum spec of being a car, let alone a good car. Same for the audio on this kind of crrrrrp. Resist!

John S, 02 Oct 2022I ordered a SanDisk 1Tb memory card for my Tab S5e before r... moreSize of sdcard limits is about the number of files to address (the indexing of this takes a toll on the host device), also the MHz speed of the sdcard processor in the card, the compatibility with the card and the host device. You've heard of U1 U3, A1, A3 etc, right? Well there's even more to it than that.
All that aside, and being equal, the limit quoted by the manufacturer can simply be the latest size available and TESTED with the device when it was released to market. Unfortunately manufacturers don't necessarily keep testing after that (voluntary free labor via people testing their own purchases and posting the results on forums might do it for them though).
Good luck, and remember: always back up in duplicate as a minimum!

I ordered a SanDisk 1Tb memory card for my Tab S5e before reading that the limit for cards for the S5e was 512Gb (so say Samsung and everybody else). But now the card is fitted, the file manager says it is 1Tb, and as I fill it up the percentage filled up is correct ('4% full' etc). What is going on? Am I lucky? Or will it stop accepting files when it reaches 512Gb?

Awesome tablet. Using it for almost 3 years. No hardware issues yet . But stopped major and security updates.
Good to watch videos and reading stuffs (Best Amoled Display )
Battery is average, but its okay this one the best compact tablet,also the thinnest one easy to carry also sim option available.
Note - Samsung stopped the security updates so not a good buy on 2022

The only positives are display and speakers. I would suggest buying something newer and replacing the battery after 2 or 3 years.
