You should take reading classes before commenting idiotic things like this. Funny how I have two Samsung phones and this tablet but still being called something something Apple. Maybe you should just stop lying and being a blind sheep, but that would require intelligence and honesty ;). If you close your eyes, things don't go away, they are still there.

Anonymous, 25 Jul 2020"squarish screen" It's called "aspec... moreOh nice, now you're lecturing a long time Android user that it's 4:3 aspect ratio and not "squarish screen". Well hello! I purposely made it easier for you to understand knowing you're an iPad user who has limited technical knowledge (most iPad owners do). Again, as I mentioned, you wouldn't buy an android tablet with midrange processor for demanding games, would you? And if you do use it for such, you need to reduce the graphics settings and enable game mode for smoother game play even in low end processors, right? Or you probably didn't know that being an iPad user (or should I say 'prisoner' for so long). And that jelly scroll? Well hello! It's not like it's something of a huge issue like the iPad's big, huge black bars when watching 16:9 YouTube and other movies that render the viewing experience horrible. And it's not only that, as there are even more bigger issues as well: no micro sd expansion to store all your movies, music and media files, no option to mirror screen wirelessly to smart TV's without buying yet another overpriced dongle, no seamless file transfers between tablet and Windows PC's, limited compatibility with accessories - wired or wireless keyboard, mouse, thumb drives, digital tv dongles, etc.) and you call your iPad better in everything else, that 1% you are talking about? Well, you certainly need to learn more about Android before you criticize a good midrange android tab like the S5e as "terrible in everything else".

Anonymous, 25 Jul 2020Facts are not insults. Read again, I am using Nova Launcher... moreAgain the pot calling the kettle black. :)

You can't give up your suffocating iPad experience. You're so used to it that you'd even want the icons on the Samsung tab to be as big as those in iPads so that clumsy baby hands of yours can handle them well, never mind if they waste so much space and look so
        juvenile.

You have no idea just how light years ahead Android is from iOS in terms of customization, freedom and flexibility that you'd rather blurt out it's just "terrible in everything else" because you have no idea how things work in android and how to make things work better and make games run better even with entry level processors (hint: there are game settings for less powerful processors and a game mode for a smoother gaming experience even in low end and midrange processors).

I can certainly understand your situation. You're so used to being treated like a toddler or a baby in iOS/iPadOS, getting used to the restrictions and fixed presets in its walled garden like a baby in a crib that you just whine and complain because everything is not as spoonfed in android as in iOS. Even if you do get the tab S6 with a flagship processor and better gaming, performance, I'm pretty sure you'll still say the same that it's "terrible for everything else", well because you're used to being spoonfed like a baby in iOS/IPadOS.

My friend has ipad. She hasnt the freedom of using apps that i use on s5e. Too many restrictions on ipad. But thats just my opinion on it when i seen hers. Everyone has thier own tablet brands. I personally wouldnt use one. Samsung brand i like better.

It's called "aspect ratio of 4:3" but you don't even know that? Again, I have a PC and there are, albeit dumb, mobile games that are not on PC. EVEN IF the alleged 99% of users don't play games, it doesn't change the fact that it can't run games well. For me 16:10 display also means that it can't even do browsing well. Don't even mention vertical mode, the jellyscrolling is terrible.

The only gaming this can handle is a gameboy emulator. Prove me wrong.

Read again, I am using Nova Launcher on my phone, it's just weird with a tablet. This thing lacks performance no matter how versatile the OS is. OS is only half the ingredients and maybe you don't know but my country doesn't have 6GB RAM version, although that wouldn't have saved it either.

It's always on Samsung pages that you get called "Apple / iPhone / iPad something" because they are all unreasonable fanboys who can't compare technology and admit that many things (on both sides) is crap. Why do you act like the company is your boyfriend or something haha. You have serious issues if you feel affectionate towards companies, unless you are part of them.

You called me a fan boy so I called you an iPad fanatic. Seems fair enough as only iPad fanatics don't know just how versatile and customizable android tablets are. You don't even know how to use a custom launcher (Nova) so how can you possibly judge call a well designed, affordably priced midrange Samsung tablet as "terrible for everything else".

Anonymous, 25 Jul 20201. I didn't say "Gaming everyday". 2. I h... moreTypical iPad fanatic. Already said it: big tablets are seldom used for mobile gaming because they are cumbersome to bring around. If you are always at home and are an avid gamer, you would prefer a gaming PC or PS4 or Xbox One or some other TV based gaming console unless you're a kid or toddler.

If you like to bring your game everywhere, then it's the Nintendo switch or some much smaller tablet or bigger phone. So admit it, despite the ultra super duper fastest bionic processor in an iPad, this S5e tablet still puts even the most expensive iPad Pros to shame (inferior squarish screen, no storage expansion, restrictive, suffocating operating system, etc.).

'Terrible for everything else"? Well that gaming activity and pseudo-productivity you claim to be 'everything else' happen to comprise only 1% of what 99% of most people typically do on big 10"+ tablets. Heck, even artists and professionals who own iPads use their iPads more for social media and YouTube/Movies. Get it?

You fail to compare chipsets properly and then use personal insults. I have in fact used an iPad before this and let's just say that YouTube Vanced is the only thing keeping me on this tablet. Snapdragon 670 isn't flagship but just because the tab S5e doesn't have a flagship processor doesn't mean the tablet is only "Great for movies, terrible for literally anything else" which the iPad fanatic mentioned earlier.

I actually use this tablet in lieu of my laptop because it's less bulky and does Microsoft office apps fine - the most used productivity apps in Windows PC's and laptops. This tab can wirelessly screen share presentations and seamlessly share files with Windows PC's, both of which even the most expensive iPad Pro can't do.

And iPad fanatics are proud of the Apple pencil and Photoshop capabilities of the iPad when they don't even know how to use both.

Besides, big tablets are primarily about media consumption. They are used occasionally for gaming and productivity but most of the time, they're for YouTube, Netflix, Facebook, Shopping, Browsing and Reading. And for those most important activities, this tablet puts even the most expensive iPad Pro's to shame (inferior squarish screen, no storage expansion, restrictive, suffocating operating system, etc.)

An iPad pro will never be good enough for the MAIN activities big tablets are used for: MULTIMEDIA. The only thing an iPad is good at is at benchmark scores and apps that only 1% of the population use 1% of the time. The rest of the 99% are watching YouTube and Netflix, browsing Facebook and shopping sites and listening to music videos on big tablets while gaming on smaller tablets or big phones and Nintendo switch, PS4 and gaming PC's with huge monitors 99% of the time.

Only toddlers play touchscreen games on big, bulky 10"+ or larger tablets. You don't need research on that. You see it every day. No adult brings a cumbersome 10"+ tablet with him everyday to game.

Performance is not the best. iPad would be much smoother. But i choose this because of android functionality.
                            I have 6GB RAM version.
Very good screen, loud and clear quad speakers. This device is for media consumption. Youtube, Netflix viewing.
When scrolling on browser you will see wobbling view. It doesnt scroll smoothly. one side of a screen will scroll faster than the other. But if you will scroll on landscape mode, you will barely see it. But on a portrait mode its tragic.
You can play basic games no problem. I am playing Forge of empires and its not the smoothest expierence. Now my city got bigger and its even worse now. Navigating through menu is bad.
Still happy. For media consumption (this is why i bought it) its very good.

"Besides, very few people game on big 10.1"+ tablets", any actual numbers to your claim? That still doesn't change the fact that the SD 670 is weak and I believe gaming is also media consumption.

Some iOS games were never optimized by their developers to run fast and smoothly for android and can have worse performance in even a android tablets or phones with flagship snapdragon processors than in iPads or iPhones. HOWEVER, the same can be said for android optimized apps that run worse in iOS.

Saying it's 'terrible for everything else' when it's just actually mediocre on some iOS based games, having midrange snapdragon processor wreaks of malicious intent.

If there's anything terrible, its a tablet that's designed to milk you all your cash by not putting in micro sd expansion (iPads), and an operating system that's designed to be restrictive and suffocating (iOS/iPadOS) when it really doesn't need to. Besides, very few people game on big 10.1"+ tablets because they're just too cumbersome to do so. They're mostly for multimedia media consumption and for that most common and most important function, a great amoled screen, a fast enough processor, great dolby Atmos sound from quad speakers and 1 TB storage expansion just puts even the most expensive iPad Pro to shame.
