Dp is for display sizes and not for symbols only, hence why it's in the developer settings. I'm using Android since 2012, don't try to "teach" me kid. You have no arguments why it's missing in the OneUI launcher settings.

Icon sizing HAS Nothing to do with the Android version, OK. There's a DP setting in developer options since Android 8.0 Oreo. You set the 'minimum width' to any DP setting you want to get an IPAD like huge icons juvenile experience. Apple never gave its users those options because its typical users are like YOU. That's probably why you have been a long time Samsung phone user but still don't know how to do Android customizations because you've been imprisoned by Apple's walled garden (or is it a crib?) for so long.

Same for jelly scroll issue which 'experts' claim to be caused by an upside-down Amoled panel in the Oneplus 5. And I'd like to add. Yes, I'm an engineer.

Anonymous, 26 Jul 2020https://www.theverge.com/2017/6/29/15894850/oneplus-5-scree... moreYes, it is a defect. Amoled screens have tolerances and specifications. If you exceed those upper and lower specs tolerances, the issue is going to be VERY noticeable. Like color shift in Amoled screens I mentioned earlier. 'Experts' say it's present in all Amoled displays due to the 'Nature' of the technology, not like in IPS. But guess what? It is still all about specs. When you exceed those tolerances, people and customers are going to notice it.

Anonymous, 26 Jul 2020Read all of them mind you. Not all users in those threads h... moreI'd like to add, not until I looked at the Oneplus 5 YouTube videos where the users demonstrated just what 'jelly scroll' is, did I realize that it really does look horrible. Like touching a screen that wobbled like a jelly. I can't imagine having that on my S5e. I personally can't tolerate it and will return my S5e tab immediately if I had it in portrait or landscape mode.

What my unit does have and some others here too mentioned is screen uniformity issues. It's a greenish to pinkish color shift when the tablet is tilted. The color shift intensity varies from one unit to another. With many tab S6 units I've seen at the mall, they're practically non-existent. Mine had a moderate to severe color shift intensity. Color corrections and dark mode made it less visible fortunately, so I decided not to return my S5e.

Anonymous, 26 Jul 2020https://www.reddit.com/r/GalaxyTab/comments/bm5knf/galaxy_t... moreRead all of them mind you. Not all users in those threads have them. It doesn't change the fact it's not widespread because if it were, it would at least make it to the top 100 search results when you type "jelly scroll" in Google search. Enough said. Better for you to return your defective unit so you'll be less bitter about your S5e.

Anonymous, 25 Jul 2020"Many tab S5e users don't have it" That&#... moreHello ipad lover. It's not a big, fat, lie. It's not like your false allegation that this tablet is only good for movies and "TERRIBLE for everything else".

There were only two mentions on jelly scroll issues in this forum from legitimate (true owners) of S5e users since I've had this tablet and came to this forum. The rest are from iPad fanatics WHO DON'T EVEN OWN the tablet.

If your S5e tablet has it, have it exchanged because it is certainly not normal. Mine doesn't have it and many others here don't have it and it certainly is NOT a widespread issue like you would like other non-users/non-owners here to believe. Certainly not even nearly close to the widespread Oneplus 5 jelly scroll issue!

Don't believe me? Type the two words 'jelly scroll' in Google search with no mention of a phone or tablet model to find out which devices are the most discussed that has it, get it?

Google search results are ranked according to popularity and frequency/hits. Guess what? No S5e in the FIRST 100 search results!

Majority are about the Oneplus 5 and a very few (much farther in rank), from the Moto Z2 Force. No tab S5e mention of jelly scroll in the first 100 results for the search keyword "jelly scroll". Ergo, it means that despite the tab S5e being a very popular tablet from a very popular brand (Samsung), that has been around for a year: the fact that there's practically no mention of it in the first 100 search results proves my point it is not a widespread issue although a few lemons (defective units) may have it since no manufacturer has ZERO defectives, even your beloved iPad. Who's the liar now? :)

You do realize the term aspect ratio has been around way long before the terms HD and 4K came about. Oh right, you probably don't know what those terms are.

Well hello! I purposely made it easier for you to understand knowing you're an iPad user who has limited technical knowledge (most iPad owners do). Again, as I mentioned, you wouldn't buy an android tablet with midrange processor for demanding games, would you? And if you do use it for such, you need to reduce the graphics settings and enable game mode for smoother game play even in low end processors, right? Or you probably didn't know that being an iPad user (or should I say 'prisoner' for so long). And that jelly scroll? Well hello! It's not like it's something of a huge issue like the iPad's big, huge black bars when watching 16:9 YouTube and other movies that render the viewing experience horrible. And it's not only that, as there are even more bigger issues as well: no micro sd expansion to store all your movies, music and media files, no option to mirror screen wirelessly to smart TV's without buying yet another overpriced dongle, no seamless file transfers between tablet and Windows PC's, limited compatibility with accessories - wired or wireless keyboard, mouse, thumb drives, digital tv dongles, etc.) and you call your iPad better in everything else, that 1% you are talking about? Well, you certainly need to learn more about Android before you criticize a good midrange android tab like the S5e as "terrible in everything else".

You can't give up your suffocating iPad experience. You're so used to it that you'd even want the icons on the Samsung tab to be as big as those in iPads so that clumsy baby hands of yours can handle them well, never mind if they waste so much space and look so
                                    juvenile.

You have no idea just how light years ahead Android is from iOS in terms of customization, freedom and flexibility that you'd rather blurt out it's just "terrible in everything else" because you have no idea how things work in android and how to make things work better and make games run better even with entry level processors (hint: there are game settings for less powerful processors and a game mode for a smoother gaming experience even in low end and midrange processors).

I can certainly understand your situation. You're so used to being treated like a toddler or a baby in iOS/iPadOS, getting used to the restrictions and fixed presets in its walled garden like a baby in a crib that you just whine and complain because everything is not as spoonfed in android as in iOS. Even if you do get the tab S6 with a flagship processor and better gaming, performance, I'm pretty sure you'll still say the same that it's "terrible for everything else", well because you're used to being spoonfed like a baby in iOS/IPadOS.
