Bought my Galaxy Tab S 10.5 last Saturday, got to say it's brilliant. Display is the best I have seen on any device. It's lightening fast and extremely slim and lightweight. Got to be THE best tablet on the market right now. Bit pricey at £400 for any tablet but this should come down after it's been out longer.

Love my Galaxy Tab S . Bought the 10.5 in version and think it's fantastic - glad I didn't get the ipad! Been looking for a fine tip stylus so I can write notes (particularly maths equations for teaching). Anyone know of a fine tip stylus that works well. The stylus I have has the usual rounded 'fat' tip which isn't fine enough. Thanks

d3, 10 Sep 2014Hey guys, I don't know what to choose "Samsung Tab S 1... moreThe Tab S is newer and the screen has a higher resolution. Especially nice if you watch a lot of movies and or photos. And the tablet is thinner and lighter. Which is nice if you like to read ebooks. It doesn't strain the life out of your wrist. With the older models you have to carry more weight.

123, 11 Sep 2014Hi am having issues for sending files via WIFI direct the d... moreDid you look if your wiFi signal is strong enough?
Did you connected to the available WiFi spot?
Even if I connect to my home WiFi Router it keeps searching for other WiFi spots. You can see how strong the signal is. Depending on where I am in the house I have perfect or reasonable connection.

Hey guys, I don't know what to choose "Samsung Tab S 10.5 - 16gb" Or " Samsung Tab Pro 12.2 64gb" they're the same price in mu country. Both are 4g. I don't know why the tab pro 12.2 got this discount. I'm confused what to choose, the extra 48 giga and more screen estate over the super amoled screen (i don't care about the fingerprint). What do you guys think, any recommendations? Thanks.

I have had one of these beauties for about 3 days and I have to say, its a fantastic, beautiful tablet. So fast that I can honestly say I haven't seen so much as a single hesitation or stutter in any software. High end games run like a champ, bluetoothgamepad works. Get a bluetooth keyboard, not because the screen one isn't excellent. It really is excellent; get a keyboard because this is a laptop replacer. I find I can use productivity Apps very seriously.
This hasn't replaced my Nexus 7 either, as I find the smaller tablet great for reading--think holding a paperback versus a magazine. That's really the thing about it, the bigger screen is great for magazines and especially for movies. I actually mutter 'wow' a few times, the screen is superb, I looked at the pro I am unconvinced it is 'better,' although it was a little different, it was about color and not clarity. I can not percieve a clarity gap with the naked eye.
The speaker is clean and the sound excellent if not impressive, until you hook it up to some speakers. Weather it is bluetooth or by a wire, the sound quality and clarity is fantastic, and enough to make me forgive the weak internal speakers.
This is a high quality tablet, despite the 'steep-ish' price, I haven't been this pleasantly surprised since the Nexus 7 (2013). I haven't experienced so much as a moment of buyer's regret.
Now let's talk about that screen, high res, high density and better color accuracy than any other AMOLED Sammy has sold us before. Amoled has been something of a love it...but...kind of thing going all the way back to the first Galaxy S phones. Too much blue in one generation, not bright enough in another, too yellow...AMOLED has been called it all. Admit it you didn't care much, the high definition and deep rich blacks made/make it a very popular technology and Sammy has been continually improving the engineering involved. Frankly the effort shows, in a positive way.
I do wish for some sort of fine point stylus, if not an S pen...but you know what?
I think I will get over it, this tablet is impossible to dislike, and you can not say that about all large tablets simply because they are big. Half of the garbage on the market is not worth mention, there are more competitive choices in the small tablet area, if you want a big 'toy' Sammy has a less expensive 10" choice, and there are a few other decent choices as well.
If you want a serious mobile computing tablet for work AND play, the choices become fewer and three of them are in this article. For me that is 50% of the valid choices and the only others come from ASUS. If Sony and LG step up their game a bit they will be in the running, but right now its these 3.
So if you are on the fence, get one...and go ahead and get a bluetooth keyboard and a BIG sdhc/xdsd, so will want to load up all the music and movies.

Love the style and colour, Graphic lags a bit when asked to work hard but the graphics are the best which compensates. My biggest gripe! Why oh why Samsung have you replaced the menu button with a recent apps button? If any of the reviews that I have read (and I've read many) mentioned that little fact then I would not have purchased a Tab S. Lack of many popular video codecs is a silly ommision
