Best tablet ever till now but without lollipop update...I think i will keep it for years

Has been used for 1 year and a half.
After using half year, send in for warranty for changing battery and charging port, because battery life is so bad. And when it charge, it's battery percentage is not correct. Problem still persist after updated to Lollipop, but know that whenever it show 100% with an electric sign, means it is still charging, wait for half more hour until the electric sign gone, then it is fully charged. This is one of the reason why the battery life is poor.

Then, this tablet after updated to Lollipop 5.0.2, actually much more lag than Kitkat, and more frequently restart itself. Don't know what Samsung is trying to do. I do hope Samsung come up with 5.1 updates for worldwide to fix the TouchWiz lag.

Then, this tablet also used up a lot of storage by itself, storing non-sense inside internal storage until storage full. I have to frequently use Clean Master apps to clean the internal useless file.

Has less pleasure on using this tab than other brand's lower priced tablet, where lower tier brand tablet are much more stable than this, despite having not so powerful processor.

AnonD-513533, 11 Mar 2016what did you do to solve this problem?I have already mentioned it:

"As stated by Samsung Service Center:
        * Problem: bad battery connector for most/all Galaxy Tab S 8.4, worldwide!
        * Solution: Re-solder/re-joint the bad battery connector, using soldering iron, done in 5 minutes or less.
        * Price: around $6 (USD) for non-warranty tablet"

I've using this tab since 2015, in first time using this device I can't say it's perfect, cz always reboot, battery drain fast, and slow on process. And you need to get the most new updates and change the battery and connector too... and I'm in love with this tab now. I hope there will be tab 3, I don't have any interest to buy tab 2 #NB the newest lollipop update doesn't spread widely

But still, very bad QC for such premium product, especially it's hardware related problem. Please pay attention, Samsung!

Samsung is probably the worst investment I have had since smartphone began. I have a Galaxy Tab S 8.4 T705 which was bought April 2015 from a gadget store inside a mall here in the Philippines. In which later I found out was also one of their authorized service center. Just this February 2016, it just suddenly started running into problems with the LCD. It suddenly had the yellow tint on the whole display that you almost could not read anything unless you manually set the brightness to max.

So I brought it immediately to the store where I bought it from since it still has a warranty. But alas, to my dismay, my warranty only covers the service. Nothing I could do so I just let them check my tablet. Initially, the technician said it could be the motherboard. I was told to leave my tablet for further testing and it would take about less than a month till I get it back. So I obliged, filled up some forms and they took my contact number. A week after, the technician I have spoken to called me and told me that the problem was with the lcd display itself and not the motherboard that they have to replace it which would cost me Php8,500 for the lcd display alone. I gave him the go signal because I was really anxious to get my tablet back. Almost half of the time, everyday, I do my work from that tablet. But what could be worse? The technician called me the next day and told me that my tablet originated from Singapore and that they had to order the lcd from Samsung Singapore that might take a month before they would receive the part they will order! This is really infuriating!! How low quality Samsung's product is. Despite how well I had taken care of my tablet. Never been dropped, installed with tempered glass, and encased on an Otterbox defender series ballistic case since day one! I'm never recommending any Samsung product to everyone I know or to anyone!

It wouldn't happen when plugged in but if using battery with anything under 80% I would get these odd vertical screen flickers then it would freeze and/or reboot itself. I had to send it it under warranty (2 weeks left) and they fixed it. If you are under warranty call the Samsung number. It takes a while to get to the right person.

My Tab S has gotten worse and out of control.
Everytime the battery reach 50%, it will keep on flickering & restarting by itself non-stop till it runs out of battery and died. I literally can only use my tab from 100% to 50% of the battery! Really Samsung? No solution??

Quality control really sucks for such a premium product!

Anyone here experience the same malfunction?
