For lollipop updates, use a computer, I did it with my laptop, download the firmware thru sammobile and use odin 3.9. Its better than OTA,then wipe data and cache for smoother performance. Same method I used in my Note 4. Didnt have any problems so far. Silky smooth, just leave room for 2gb free internal storage to keep it running smooth. Cheers!😊

Why can't Samsung post an upgrade to fix this battery problem? . 99% of this device has battery problem. Mine has been shutting down on and of since day one i bought this tablet.

GTS8.4, 19 May 2015I think it should be a manufacturing defect because I never... moreAgree, there is manufacturing defect, which affecting some batch of product. These happen mostly on "smart" product, and it depend on luck. (not just for Android camp, but Apple product included)
Well, after the battery and charging port replacement, with Lollipop 5.0.2, battery life seems improved a lot.
There is no more battery wrong info issue.
Recommend the 8.4 inch LTE version, where it is easier to hold, higher pixel density, and can be used as a phone. It is expensive, but worth every penny, where the 2K AMOLED screen alone is just perfect.

My class mate and I both have the same model (SM-T705) and never faced a single problem so far. It's a really good tab. And yes it is better than iPad mini 2. (Don't know about mini 3). So go for this Tablet. It's awesome.

Well, the negative comment are probably true.
I do own the tab, and I know it.
As people are commenting on the same problem, these are the true known issue that buyer should take note.
Not a Samsung hater, but I have send the tab to service center twice, just for the battery problem.
Finally, they agree to replace the battery without any charge.
I won't advise people not to buy the tab, but you have to live with the problem that it pose.

After reading the opinion since December last year yesterday I decided to go get one for myself regardless of the negative options that people have being posting nd all I will have to tell u is excellent nd if u want to buy go ahead cos is the best tab ever

I manage to bought mine around RM1500, at the time still on promotion free Galaxy Gear Fit.
The Malaysian version is equip with Exynos 5 Octa 5420 1.9 Ghz processor (the one use in Exynos version of Galaxy Note 3), with FDD 4G LTE support.
The tab can make calls.
